Commentary
Today, Monday 11th May 2026, Pastor Jerry Eze opens the NSPPD altar with a thunderous declaration: the Global Crusade begins tomorrow, and fire is falling. This is not a symbolic fire. This is the consuming fire of God – the same fire that fell on Mount Carmel and consumed the sacrifice, the water, the stones, and the dust (1 Kings 18:38). The same fire that appeared as a burning bush that was not consumed (Exodus 3:2). The same fire that led Israel by night as a pillar of fire (Exodus 13:21). This fire has one purpose: to consume everything that is not of God and to release answers that have been delayed.
The anchor scripture, Obadiah 1:18, presents a powerful contrast: the house of Jacob (God’s people) shall be a fire. The house of Joseph (the blessed, the fruitful) shall be a flame. But the house of Esau (the enemy, the opposition, the one who despised birthright) shall be stubble – dry, flammable, powerless. When fire meets stubble, the stubble does not resist; it burns. And the promise is absolute: “there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau.” Not some. Not a few. Any. Complete destruction of every enemy structure.
Pastor Jerry is declaring that this week – starting with today’s preparation and tomorrow’s Global Crusade – is a Furnace of Answers. Every question you have asked God, every prayer you have prayed, every tear you have shed – answers are about to erupt. The fire does not ask permission. The fire does not negotiate. The fire falls, and nothing escapes.
The theme of reversal is central. The enemy has established a negative status quo – a “normal” that is actually abnormal according to God’s will. A status quo of sickness when God says “by His stripes ye are healed.” A status quo of poverty when God says “I shall supply all your need.” A status quo of delay when God says “before they call, I will answer.” Today, that negative status quo is being reversed. Witchcraft attacks – those invisible manipulations, those dreams of oppression, those unexplained losses – are being reversed. Delays and denials – the closed doors, the unanswered applications, the stalled progress – are being reversed. Anti-celebration – the force that steals your joy right before your testimony – is being reversed.
The prophetic instruction to write a “REVERSAL NOTE” is a powerful act of faith. You are not just hoping for reversal; you are documenting what must be reversed. Write down the names of those strongmen. Write down the nature of those evil foundations. Write down the specific delays you have experienced. Then, as the fire falls, you will see those written items consumed – not in reality only, but first in the spirit.
The instruction to gather prayer requests from everyone you know shifts this from a personal prayer session to a corporate altar of fire. You are not meant to pray alone this week. The fire spreads. The fire ignites others. Bring your friends, your family, your colleagues, your neighbors. Share the link. Share the prayers. Because when many gather on the altar of fire, the combustion is greater.
The closing declaration is simple but violent: “LET THE FIRE FALL! NOTHING WILL REMAIN.” You are not asking the fire to fall gently. You are demanding the fire fall with force. And you are declaring the outcome: nothing of the enemy’s work shall remain. No trace of witchcraft. No remnant of delay. No leftover of evil foundations. Complete. Total. Absolute.
