At the Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula, Mississippi, United States laid a grave with the inscription “BABY JANE II.’’ ODM DAILY ONLINE 22 March 2023 – ALISHA ANN HEINRICH:…YOU ARE NOT A NOBODY – 1!
The grave was that of an infant who was only a few weeks old and was found tangled in a fishing line by two men who were fishing in the wildlife management area of the Pascagoula River on June 28, 1988.
Autopsy showed that the baby was 3-5 weeks old and had died by drowning but her identity was not known. She was buried by community members next to the grave site of another unidentified infant found in Jackson’s county river in 1982 called “BABY JANE.”
Baby Jane was an 18-month-old infant when she was found on December 5th 1982 floating in the Escatawpa River wearing a pink and white checkered dress and a diaper.
For decades, investigators found no leads in either case. In December 2020, after almost 40 years after the death of Baby Jane II, investigators were able to identify her. ODM
DNA testing identified her as Alicia Ann Heinrich. She had gone missing from Joplin, Missouri area around Thanksgiving day in 1982, along with her 23-year-old mother Gwendolyn Mae Clemons, according to the Jackson county sheriff’s department.
As for Baby Jane II, in July 2021, investigators exhumed her with hopes of finding her true name. Her remains were sent to the Mississippi crime laboratory. Her DNA would be collected and with that, investigators hope to use it to build a family tree.
Alisha Ann Heinrich was once tagged “A NOBODY’’ because no one knew the family through which she came into this world until finally she was identified. Someone who made a comment about her said, “SHE WASN’T A NOBODY….” As WE CONTINUE TOMORROW, the Holy Ghost is saying to a user of today’s devotional: In this year 2023, never see yourself as a NOBODY no matter the battles of your present condition or what you are passing through.
