During the funeral procession and burial activities of late Queen Elizabeth II, nothing touched me as much as when the symbols of her authority of 70 unbroken years were removed from her coffin.
Her sceptre was publicly broken and her diamond crown estimated by jewellers to be worth between 3-5 BILLION dollars, was quietly removed and placed on the altar of God.
Elizabeth, as the presiding minister announced, must return back to her Maker just as she came to earth 96 years ago, simple and without the trappings of her sovereignty. It’s a lifetime lesson. WHAT SHOCKED ME AGAIN WAS THAT THE PRESIDING MINISTER DID NOT CALL HER “QUEEN ELIZABETH” AGAIN JUST BEFORE HER
FINAL BURIAL!
He simply said: “ELIZABETH must return back to her Maker just as she came to earth 96 years ago, simple and without the trappings of her sovereignty.” Did you get that? SHE DIED AND DEPARTED EMPTY and that should be your cry! Naked we came and naked we must go – EMPTY!
You cannot depart with any bank account! You cannot depart with any title and resources! Your endless pursuits and indeed your acquisitions here (houses, cars, etc,) will be left behind some day.
May you live your life to please your Maker and return back to Him at the right time, for the imperishable crown that can never be taken from you. The other “crowns” you are wearing now will be left behind at the “altar of God.” May we hear “WELL DONE” AT LAST! Amen!
