Welcome! Vs. 2 of today’s scriptures says: “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.” Indeed, sometimes life can be unfair to the extent that you forget that God had been good to you. THIS IS THE TRICK OF THE DEVIL – TO MAKE YOU FORGET THE BENEFITS OF THE LORD!
Yes! He wants you to think that God is slow! He wants you to think that God’s delays are His denials! He is screaming daily to let you hear his evil voice which says that God is partial! He makes you feel inferior to others and He makes you feel depressed in self-pity!
Always remember this year that: God is just and faithful! No matter what you are going through, you can always see the benefits of the Lord around your life. Satan will do anything to CUT THE FLOW between you and your God. He wants to CUT THE FLOW of the joy of your salvation! The Holy Ghost is saying to a user of today’s devotional: “DON’T LET HIM CUT THE FLOW” this year! Hold on to your God and trust Him! Don’t allow the devil to exalt the PAIN more than the GAIN or the BATTLES of LIFE more than the BENEFITS of LIFE!
Think about how God forgave all your iniquities and cast them into the sea of forgetfulness (Micah 7:19)! Thank Him for healing your diseases (Vs. 3). Thank Him for redeeming your life and soul from destruction (Vs. 4). This is more than rescue from a premature death/physical death; it is redemption from death itself (eternal death). Thank Him for crowning your life “with His lovingkindness and tender mercies” (Vs. 4).
And thank the One who satisfies your mouth with good things (Vs. 5). He renews your strength and vigor, so your spirit can rise up and soar like the eagle. David Roper penned: “Give me a spirit of thankfulness, Lord, For numberless blessings given; Blessings that daily come to me, Like dewdrops falling from heaven.” Count your daily benefits and do not cut the flow. Hold on and hold out daily this year!
