Our Daily Manna 3rd June 2023 – YOU CANNOT BE STRANDED IN THE WILDERNESS OF LIFE!
In the film “Cast Away,” Tom Hanks plays Chuck Noland, a clock-conscious Federal Express manager, who gets stranded on a desert island. Completely cut off from other people and modern conveniences, he must learn the primitive skills of a caveman.
He puts arduous effort into harpooning fish, making fire by rubbing sticks together, and opening a coconut to get its milk and sweet fruit. The movie is rich with insight on how difficult life can become for someone who is stranded in an isolated wilderness.
What the Holy Ghost is saying to a user of today’s devotional is, you will not be stranded in the wilderness of life this year. Yes! God will not abandon you in that wilderness.
Oh! Life happens and sometimes you find yourself in situations and circumstances that makes you stand all by yourself, insulted, looked down upon and deserted.
Sometimes, God allows you to go through the wilderness to prepare you for what is ahead. In the Bible, the wilderness is that season when it looks like God is far or too slow! The wilderness of life is that season when it looks like the oil on your head is dry.
It is that season when your needs are more than your supply and enemies are more than friends. Oh! The wilderness is when it seems YOUR PAST IS BETTER THAN YOUR PRESENT AND YOU LOOK LIKE A “ONCE-UPON-A- TIME” man/woman!
ICHABOD! But catch this: The wilderness is often the route to your Promised Land! That is why YOU MUST NEVER QUIT OR GIVE UP!
Jesus made a practice of withdrawing to the wilderness to pray and receive direction (Mark 1:35). Your wilderness season should be your prayer season!
In today’s scripture, God did not allow ELIJAH to be stranded! HE strengthened him in his weakness! Dennis Fisher wrote: “Do you find yourself in a ‘wilderness experience,’… If so, the Lord may want to teach you lessons of faith and endurance…”
Refuse to allow depression! Don’t complain or murmur! That wilderness will promote you and produce your PROMISED LAND results this year! Our Daily Manna 3rd June 2023 – YOU CANNOT BE STRANDED IN THE WILDERNESS OF LIFE!
