BASIC SCRIPTURE: ISAIAH 43: 1-7
1 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3 For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
5 Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

Sometimes, God may DELAY His promises, but He does not DENY them! The greatest killer of HOPE/courage IS WHEN YOU FORGET God’s promises. Did He not say that His Word is YEA and AMEN? D.L. Moody penned: “God never made a promise that was too good to be true.” In 2021, always remember that God has never promised that this world will be a five-star hotel! See John 16: 33: “These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” God’s promises are His 2021 DAILY OVERCOMING CAPSULES! Hear W.A. Criswell: “when our trials come, when we feel pain and Suffering when our tears flow again, it is our joy and Comfort to lift our faces heavenward and to go on, standing on the promises of God.” See some 2021 promises in today’s devotional: Isaiah 40:29- “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” Isaiah 40:31- “But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they Will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 43:2-“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” Jeremiah 29:11- “For I know the plans I have for you’, declares the LORD. ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (an EXPECTED END).” Deuteronomy 31:8 says: “The LORD Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Oh, I am excited with Zephaniah 3: 17: – “The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty, He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in His love, He will joy over thee with singing.” See Joshua 1:9- “Have l not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Wow… (To Be Continued Tomorrow).
