TOPIC: IT’S NOT THE CAR… BUT YOU!
BASIC SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 5: 40-48
A brother, Louis Green, was driving to work on morning when his car was hit by another car whose driver was a woman came out of her car feeling sorry because she was at fault. To make matter worst, the car has just being bought for her by her husband- the car was just eight month old. On it was written the following words: “in case of accident, remember honey, it’s you I love, not the car.” it was written by her husband eight months earlier when the car was bought, what a comfort it brought to the woman and oh! What a message to a user of today’s devotional. God want you to know that in life, there are certain things that really matter: God want you to focus on them. At the end of your life, materials things will not matter.
All the money in your bank will not matter! All your valuable buildings will pale insignificance. At that time, you will regret not spending enough time and with God. You will regret not giving enough to support the gospel. You will regret not spending enough time with your children and family. There is a phase when friends are more important than wealth .
