Welcome! Heaven wants you to learn from the failure trap of King Rehoboam who because of his wrong company, landed in the wrong destiny with a divided nation! God used the power of association to plant Esther on her throne; Mordecai was a great influence! Read this familiar story: An eagle’s egg was placed in the nest of a chicken. The egg hatched and the little eagle grew up thinking it was a chicken. The eagle lived like the chicken! It scratched and ate dirt! It even tried fruitlessly to crow! Then one day, it saw an eagle flying gracefully and majestically in the open sky. It asked the chicken, “What is that beautiful bird?” The chicken replied, “That is an eagle, but you cannot fly like it because you are just a chicken.” So, the eagle believed that to be the truth. Sadly, the eagle lived and died like a chicken, because of the wrong company! It was born to win, but was conditioned to loose! It was born to rule, but was conditioned by the wrong association to live like a slave! What God is saying to you today is that in this year 2026, it is better you remain with just a few positive friends like Nehemiah (Nehemiah 2: 12), than to be the toast of a mixed multitude! Popularity does not create success! It is success that creates popularity! Great men/women have great habits; they carefully select their company and their company determines their destinies! That was the story of Oprah Winfrey, who read books about heroes and heroines as a child. She once said that these heroic figures provoked the “open door” in her life. Mahatma Gandhi influenced Martin Luther King Jnr. People have written to tell me why they can’t have trusted mentors, but never forget that no man is án island on this imperfect planet! There is no perfect mentor/friend or helper anywhere! Study Jesus Christ in the gospel afresh and make Him your role model this year! Never forget: Your association will fire, re-fire or retire you!
