Today’s scripture vs. 24 says: “But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.” Note the words: “that I might finish my course with joy.” Ah! The Holy Ghost wants to REMIND YOU that the most important thing in life is not to get married, fund your retirement, travel a lot, become famous, move into a bigger house, drive a bigger car or pay off the house mortgage, etc. Paul says (paraphrased) in Acts 20:24: The Most Important Thing In Life Is To Complete Your Life’s Mission/ Assignment! Yes! Indeed, the most important thing in life is to fulfill the mission God gave you! Jesus died on the cross for you, and He saved you for a purpose! God did not put you here to fulfill another person’s assignment through jealousy, competition or envy, etc. Your assignment is UNIQUE! Discover it and pursue it! However, A Very Universal Assignment For Every Believer Is Talking About Jesus Christ Wherever You Go! This day and this week, the way we show our gratitude for the grace of God is by making our own lives count, by telling as many people as we can about the Good News of God’s grace! May you not FULFILL ANOTHER MAN’S/WOMAN’S assignment in Jesus name!
