TOPIC: HE CLEANED VIERA’S BOOTS! TODAY HE IS A MANAGER! I t sounded incredible at that time, but that’s the true story of the one-time Tottenham Hotspur’s soccer star, Rohan Rickettes, who so much believed in his former hero, Patrick Viera (now a professional football manager but was a former player) that he cleaned his boots every morning before and after training! Today however, Rickettes Rohan’s career has taken him across 13 countries on four continents as a footbal star/manager also! Rickettes is an example of the rise of a ‘nobody.’ Jesus served under His parents for 30 years! Luke 2:51 says, “…He subjected Himself unto them.” He did not just jump into His life’s assignment! He prepared! Moses served under Jethro for 40 yrs! David served Saul! Idahosa served Pa Elton! Pastor Adeboye served Pa Akindayomi! Pa Akindayomi served Pa Ayo Babalola! Dr. Uma Ukpai submitted to the Assemblies of God Church! The list is endless! How many people can serve under another man for 40 years in this generation? The ‘average number’ of years people sit in one church today is 7 years! How many assistant pastors can clean their pastor’s car or wash his clothes if necessary? How many church members can obey their elders in the absence of their senior pastor or General Overseer? You must drop pride and the haste to rise! You must determine to stay where you are and pay your dues! The only reason pride lifts you up is to let you down. No man can taste the sweet fruit of success in life without learning how to serve! The way to the throne room is through the servants (boys) quarters! John the Baptist served Jesus and today he is a great name in heaven and on earth! Dear pastor, who is your pastor? Look for one and serve! A General Overseer should have a General Overseer whose shoes he can polish once in a while! Target this today: The way to the throne is through the servants (boys) quarters! Hold on and hold out! Keep moving!
