It was Derek Kingsley who quipped, “The devil does not need to defeat you if he can make you too afraid to try.” Read that again! At the Valley of Elah, it was one contender but two different spirits. An army with an armoury that could destroy another nation, but were too afraid to try! Then a young boy with just stones and a sling, but with the boldness of Heaven. David declared, “You come to me with a sword and a spear, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts.” Boldness is not the absence of battles; it is the decision to stand your ground when everything in you wants to run! The enemy’s greatest weapon is that you are too afraid to attack! Romans 8:15 cries, “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, ‘Abba, Father.” Fear disguises itself as wisdom, caution, and timing. It sounds logical, but its goal is delay. Many dreams have died in the waiting room of fear. How many ideas have you postponed because you were “still praying about it?” Wow! No wonder Jack Dickinson declared, “Fear tolerated is faith contaminated.” Whatever you confront loses its power! Intimidation only thrives where resistance is absent! The moment you see who stands behind you, the threats in front of you shrink. Every time you step forward in faith, you embarrass the kingdom of darkness! You have been afraid long enough! In this 2nd quarter of 2026, it is time to take action! David did not fail! You will not fail! Hold on and hold out! Amen!
