TOPIC: VIEWING THE AIRPLANE FROM GROUND LEVEL!
A little boy was playing outside the compound one day when he heard the sound of an airplane flying across, so high up in the sky. The child ran inside the house to call his father who did not hesitate to indulge the boy and came out to see for himself. “Daddy, an airplane is so tiny. How does a pilot enter such a small plane?” The father smiled! Instead of answering the child with words, he promised to take the child to the airport to see for himself the true size of a plane. When the child finally saw an airplane at the airport, he was so overwhelmed with shock: “Wow, the airplane is so big! Why was it looking small that day in the sky?” to which his father responded, “My son, where you stand will determine if the airplane is small or big. The closer you are to the aeroplane, the bigger it is, and the farther you are, the smaller it is.” Ah! Note this: A powerful quote says, “God is as big as you allow Him to be.” Wow! Now the question to you is, how big is your God? Is He far away in the sky, or are you close to Him at the ‘airport?” James 4:8 says, “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” When God draws NEAR TO YOU, NOTHING CAN INTIMIDATE YOU THIS YEAR! When you draw close to God, you position yourself for an experience; you position yourself to witness a God that can do the impossible! You cannot continue to stand in the distance, far away from the airport, viewing God in the sky as a SMALL GOD! No! HE IS A VERY PRESENT HELP IN TROUBLE (Psalm 46: 1-2)! Then Manoah said to the Angel of the LORD, “What is Your name, that when Your words come to pass we may honor You?” And the Angel of the LORD said to him, “Why do you ask My name, seeing it is wonderful?” (Judges 13:17-18 NKJV).
