TOPIC: YOU ARE MORE THAN THIS!
Welcome to today’s devotional! Elisha, the great prophet of God, was on his deathbed when the king of his nation came for help. Elisha told him, “Take the arrows; smite them upon the ground.” The king did not know what the prophet was up to, so he smote the ground just three times. The prophet was furious! Vs. 19 says, “And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, ‘Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it: whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice.” What a tragedy of destiny limitation! Oh, how can a man become his own enemy? Oh! THE POWER OF NEARLY BUT NEVER! He scored 3 out of 5 or 6! It is not a complete FAILURE, but it was not enough to silence the silencer! There are battles in which 50% or 60% is enough for victory! The king struck three times ONLY. He limited the Holy One of Israel! Please, you need to take the limits off God this year! If you have been wondering if God can do that, “big thing,” stop wondering! Take the limits off your God and let Him do exceedingly abundantly above all that you can ever ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). God is waiting for you to stretch yourself and place a demand on His limitless power and resources! No wonder Helen Rice wrote, “No matter how steep the mountain, the Lord is going to climb it with you.” You don’t have to be happy to smile! You can be in a bad mood and smile and your mood will turn around. On a bad day, see what goodness you can find! Even in trials, ask yourself: “What am I supposed to learn from this?” Don’t be LIMITED! You are more than who and what you are now! Peace! (2026, 14-day fasting program is from July 11TH -25TH!
