Years ago in Nigeria, I am reminded of a lady who failed the university matriculation examinations seven times, yet she left the university with a First Class! Then, Miss Oluwagbemisola Mann, failed JAMB (Joint Admission and Matriculation Board) exams seven times, but still went ahead to make the best result [first class] in her set. She Failed Many Times, But She Was Carrying First Class In Her! Today’s delay point can become tomorrow’s dancing pad if you hold on! Hers is a story of resilience and perseverance. Though she finally graduated at the age of 29, her story reflects how the human spirit, willpower and the Holy Ghost can be engaged to turn adversity into prosperity. This lady lost her father when she was three years old, lost her mother at the age of nine and lost her grandmother, who was her mainstay, at 13 years of age. She gave her life to Christ at the age of 12 at that time! That means at 13 years old, she was already an orphan, yet today, she is a star! Your tomorrow does not depend on men but on the Man of war-Jehovah God! Oh, see today’s scripture, vs.16 – “…Fear thou not: and to Zion, let not thine hands be slack.” It also means, “let not thine hands faint or quit or give up.” Because the LORD GOD is in the midst of thee, your life and ministry will break records, if you don’t quit now!
