BASIC SCRIPTURE: LUKE 7: 1- 10

Below is the passage from Luke 7:1-10 in the King James Version (KJV) , followed by prayers and declarations suitable for February 14, 2025.

Luke 7:1-10 (KJV):

1 Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum.
2 And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die.
3 And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.
4 And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this:
5 For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.
6 Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:
7 Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say the word, and my servant shall be healed.
8 For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
9 When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
10 And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.

Prayer for February 14, 2025:

Opening Prayer: Heavenly Father,
We come before You today on this special day, February 14, 2025, to worship You and seek Your presence. Thank You for the story of the centurion’s faith, which reminds us of the power of believing in Your Word and authority. Help us to trust in Your divine plan for our lives, just as the centurion trusted in Jesus’ ability to heal. Open our hearts to receive Your love, grace, and healing power. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Prayer of Faith and Authority: Lord Jesus Christ,
You are the Great Healer, the One who holds authority over sickness, disease, and every challenge we face. Just as the centurion recognized Your authority and believed that a word from You could heal his servant, we declare our faith in Your power today. Speak healing into our lives, our families, and our communities. Let Your will be done in our circumstances, and may we see miracles happen in Your name. Strengthen our faith, Lord, so that we may walk in confidence, knowing that nothing is impossible with You. Amen.

Declaration of Healing and Restoration: In the name of Jesus Christ, I declare:

  • My body is healed by the power of God’s Word.
  • Every area of my life that needs restoration is being touched by the Holy Spirit.
  • Like the centurion, I believe in the authority of Jesus to speak and bring change.
  • I release faith into every situation I face, trusting that God hears and answers my prayers.
  • I declare that where there is sickness, there will be health. Where there is brokenness, there will be wholeness. Where there is despair, there will be hope.
  • By the stripes of Jesus, I am healed! (Isaiah 53:5)

Closing Prayer: Dear Lord,
Thank You for hearing our prayers and answering according to Your perfect will. We celebrate Your goodness and faithfulness today, knowing that You are always near to those who call upon You. Empower us to live with bold faith, like the centurion, and to share Your love with others. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We thank You for Your mercy, grace, and unconditional love. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.

May these prayers and declarations bless your heart and strengthen your faith as you meditate on Luke 7:1-10.
