Welcome to today’s devotional! The words of Rhonda Bryne is our starting point: “The shortcut to anything you want in your life is to be happy and to feel happy now!” According to Byrne, this has to do with something called the law of attraction. “If you think only about things that make you happy, she says, happy things will be attracted to you.” That means you are what you think. Yes, you attract what you think (Proverbs 23:7). Don’t waste your life and time on things that will not improve you and those around you. Everything good or bad begins with a thought. You will never be different or better than what goes through your mind. If you preoccupy your mind with evil thoughts and wickedness, sooner or later you will become what you think. In this year 2022, focus your thoughts on good and mighty things. Think of the good of humanity. Roy Bennet said: “Start each day with a positive thought and a grateful heart.” Ah! I remember Mahatma Gandhi: “A man is but the product of his thoughts; what he thinks, he becomes.” Today’s second scripture Vs. 8 says: “Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Wow! No wonder Peace Pilgrim opined: “If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought again.
