DCLM Daily Manna Devotional – 12th May 2026 Topic: Are You Offering Your Best?
Text: Titus 1:1-5 (KJV)
Key Verse: “For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee.” (Titus 1:5)
Devotional Message:
Paul left Titus in Crete with a specific assignment: to set in order the things that were lacking and to ordain qualified elders in every city. This was a serious responsibility that required the very best of Titus — his time, energy, wisdom, commitment, and spiritual discernment. Paul did not ask for mediocrity; he expected excellence in service.
God still expects the best from every believer in His service today. Whether in leadership, soul-winning, music, ushering, cleaning the church, or any other area of ministry, He demands our best. Offering God second-best or leftovers is unacceptable. Many believers today are guilty of casual Christianity — giving God half-hearted service, showing up late, doing things shoddily, or reserving their best efforts for secular jobs and personal businesses while offering God the remnants.
The quality of what we offer God reflects how much we truly value Him. If we can be diligent and excellent in our secular pursuits, we should be even more excellent in the Lord’s work. Titus was expected to set things in order. In the same way, we are called to bring order, excellence, and diligence into every aspect of our Christian service.

Commentary for DCLM Readers This devotional challenges every believer to evaluate the quality of their service to God. Just as Paul expected Titus to give his best in organizing the church in Crete, the Lord expects us to offer excellent and diligent service in His vineyard. Half-hearted, careless, or mediocre service is not acceptable to God. DCLM members are reminded that true commitment is shown not just in attendance but in the quality and excellence of what we bring to God’s work.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the privilege of serving You. Forgive me for every time I have offered You less than my best. Help me to serve You with excellence, diligence, and sincerity of heart.
Grant me grace to set in order the things that are lacking in my life and in Your church. Let my service be acceptable and pleasing in Your sight. Deliver me from casual and lukewarm Christianity.
Raise in Deeper Life Bible Church a people who offer You their very best in every area of ministry. May our labour for You be done heartily as unto the Lord.
