Theme: The Mystery of Stature and Dominion

🕊️ OPENING PRAYER AND INTRODUCTION
Father, we thank You for the grace to gather once again in Your presence. We thank You for the word that goes forth, that does not return void. As we delve into the mystery of capacity, stature, and dominion, open our eyes of understanding, Lord. Let the scales of limitation fall off. In Jesus’ mighty name.
Beloved, welcome to Koinonia! Welcome to an encounter with the Word that will change the course of your life. We are not here for mere religious exercise. We are here for a spiritual transaction. Today, we are dealing with a subject that determines the difference between a life of mediocrity and a life of significant impact: Capacity and Stature.
🔑 THE FOUNDATIONAL TRUTH: KNOWING THE GOD OF DOMINION
One of the greatest revelations a believer can have is understanding that God is, first and foremost, the God of dominion. He is the Most High God, the El Elyon. He has no equal and no rival. He is the Supreme Ruler of the universe.
Jeremiah 12:5 poses a powerful question: “If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?”
This scripture is not a statement of condemnation; it is a call to a higher level of capacity. It asks a critical question: What is the state of your capacity? Can you handle the next level God has for you? Dominion requires a certain stature.
📈 WHAT IS STATURE?
Stature, in the context of our faith, is not just physical height. It is a measure of:

Spiritual Maturity: How much of the nature and character of God do you carry?

Moral Weight: Your integrity, character, and honesty.

Capacity: The ability to carry weight, to handle pressure, to contain what God pours into you.

Authority: The right and ability to act in the name of Jesus.
When a person has stature, they command respect and attention, not because they demand it, but because their life speaks. David was a man of stature. Before he became king, he developed a stature of character, faith, and dependence on God while tending sheep, fighting lions and bears, and facing Goliath.
📊 THE MYSTERY OF CAPACITY (2 KINGS 4:5-6)
The story of the widow with the oil is a classic revelation of the mystery of capacity. 2 Kings 4:5-6 says: “So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, ‘Bring me another vessel.’ And he said to her, ‘There is not another vessel.’ So the oil ceased.”
The oil (representing the Holy Spirit, the anointing, the blessing) did not stop because God stopped pouring. It stopped because she ran out of vessels. God is a God of the impossible and the miraculous, but He often works within the framework of capacity.
Key Lessons on Capacity from 2 Kings 4:5-6

There is a Connection Between Your Vessel and Your Miracle: Your vessel is your capacity—your faith, your heart, your knowledge of God, your character, your obedience. The oil stopped when the capacity stopped.

God Gives According to Your Capacity: Our God is not a God of waste. He will not give you a mansion when you cannot manage a room. He will not give you a ministry if you cannot handle a person. God’s giving is often tied to our capacity to receive and steward.

You Can Increase Your Capacity: The widow could have had a different testimony if she had borrowed more vessels. She was limited by her own preparation. Many of us are limited by our own thinking.

The Anointing is Not Meant to be Stored, But to be Poured: The oil flowed as she poured. There is a principle of multiplication through distribution and use. When you pour out what God has given you—your time, talent, testimony, love—it creates room for more.
🏔️ CONTENDING WITH HORSES: BUILDING YOUR STATURE
Jeremiah 12:5 also presents a progression: running with footmen, contending with horses, and facing the swelling of Jordan. Each level requires a greater stature.

Footmen: These are the everyday, common challenges. Most people stop here.

Horses: These represent greater battles, more complex issues, and more significant opposition.

The Swelling of Jordan: This speaks of the ultimate challenge, the impossible situation, the death of your dreams.
To contend with horses and face the swelling of Jordan, you must build your stature by:

Developing a Deep and Intimate Life of Prayer: This is where you get spiritual muscle. Private prayer builds public stature.

Studying and Meditating on the Word: The Word builds your faith (Romans 10:17) and renews your mind (Romans 12:2). It changes your thinking to align with God’s.

Cultivating Character and Integrity: You cannot have stature without character. Your yes must be yes, and your no must be no. People trust a person of integrity.

Serving Faithfully in the Small Things: “He who is faithful in a little thing is faithful also in much.” (Luke 16:10). Your promotion is tied to your performance in your current assignment.

Enduring Trials and Testing: Trials build endurance, character, and hope (Romans 5:3-5). Every trial you overcome increases your capacity and stature.
🙌 LIVING IN DOMINION
Dominion is not a title; it is a lifestyle. It is the outworking of your capacity and stature.

Dominion is Authority in Action: It is the ability to stand in the name of Jesus and command a situation to change.

Dominion is Having a Solution for the Problems of Men: It is being the head and not the tail (Deuteronomy 28:13).

Dominion is Influence: It is the ability to shape your environment and not be shaped by it.
⚠️ THE DANGER OF A STUNTED STATURE

A stunted stature makes a person a candidate for frustration.

When your stature is small, you are easily offended, discouraged, and defeated.
-
You can be anointed but still be a victim, struggling with sin and weakness.
-
A man or woman of stature is not a victim. They are a victor.
🕊️ CONCLUSION AND PRAYER OF ENCOUNTER
Beloved, where are you in your journey? Are you still running with footmen, or are you ready to contend with horses? God is calling you to a new level. He wants to stretch your capacity and build your stature so you can possess the land.
Prayer of Encounter:
Father, I come before You in the name of Jesus. I repent for every limitation I have placed on myself through small thinking. Lord, increase my capacity. Stretch me by the power of Your Spirit. Build my stature. Give me the grace to endure the process of growth. Help me to be faithful in the small things. I desire dominion not for my own glory, but for the advancement of Your Kingdom. I declare that I am no longer a victim; I am a victor! I am running with horses! I am facing the swelling of Jordan with faith! In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

Humans can forget to acknowledge God. But when you cultivate a culture of not acknowledging God, you open yourself to the consequences of dishonouring the One who gave you all things or even bringing a curse upon yourself, even in the midst of abundance.
Never allow the blessings of God to make you forget the Blesser.
- Light is a privilege: Having access to illumination and understanding is a privilege.
- The honour of being entrusted with access to the spirit, lives, and destinies of men.
These are not privileges to be taken for granted, but they’re to be stewarded with gratitude.
It is the message that makes the man of God powerful.
Beyond the personal reputation of a speaker, what gives credence to their ministry is the potency and power of the message being communicated, one that brings about transformation and create lasting change in the lives of those who hear it.

This does not negate the place of sacrifice and alignment. However, God builds, establishes, and equips His people through His Word.

All Believers in Christ are ordained by God to live a life of grace, victory, and maximum Kingdom impact.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” – Ephesians 2:10 (KJV)
Our calling is a high calling, in Christ.
In spite of the great and precious promises revealed to us in Scripture, and the fact that God has preordained a glorious destiny for us, there are forces that must be understood and engaged for us to come into and manifest the reality of our prophetic destinies in Christ.
One of the greatest forces that can determine how far we can be used by God and the extent of our impact and exploits in the Kingdom, is Capacity!
Capacity is a major determinant of how far a person can go.
This has, through the years, been an underestimated discussion in the life of Believers, towards helping prepare them for dominion.
Everyone is ordained by God to serve His purposes at the highest level they can attain.
The highest level you can attain is largely predicated on your capacity. While the election of grace plays a role, capacity accounts for a significant portion of the measure to which a man can be entrusted with spiritual responsibility.

3 Levels of Spiritual Authority:
- Authority over things.
- Grace to influence people.
- Authority to steward God’s programme upon the earth and within a generation.
The third is the highest level. It goes beyond influencing men; it speaks of attaining a spiritual stature that earns you a place in the advancement of God’s purposes within a generation.
At this realm, your life becomes a reference point for those who desire to serve God at that level. You become a trusted steward of His purposes, a ‘Friend of God’.
Many people stop at discovering their prophetic destiny. They make lofty declarations and prayers towards it. But the manifestation of destiny is more than that.

You can live a victorious Christian life, knowing how to engage The Word of God for personal victories, such as buying a car, paying your children’s school fees, or experiencing breakthrough in your own life, and yet not live a purposeful Christian life that advances God’s agenda at a level beyond you.
There is a dimension of Christianity where your impact extends beyond personal needs to territorial, national, and even global scales.
Dominion is the realm of Ambassadors; men and women whom God can trust with territories, systems, people, and nations.
At this level, your prayer points transcend “tea and bread”; your heart becomes consumed with the purposes of God and the transformation of nations.
God desires to raise Believers who do not merely experience victory, but become instruments through whom His purposes are established on the earth.
In the Kingdom, territories are given to men as an inheritance.
If we ignore this truth, we may become victorious Christians without becoming purposeful Christians.
Victory at a personal level means that our needs are met. We can engage the Word of God for provision, breakthrough, healing, and other personal victories. But if the scope of our Christianity ends there, our influence remains largely within the sphere of our personal lives.

On a macro level, to become valuable to His Kingdom, God eases the burden in our personal lives, to enable us advance His purposes on the earth.
The realm of dominion and purpose is the realm of ambassadors and stewards, where God can entrust men with territories, systems, people, and even nations.
The goal is not merely to have God meet your needs, but to become a vessel through whom God can meet the needs of a generation.
WHAT IS CAPACITY?
1. Capacity can be defined as the quantitative limit of a person or thing; it means the maximum amount or volume that an individual can hold or contain.
2. The upper limit of an individual’s power, competence, and aptitude; the ability to do, to contain, to abstain, to absorb, to process, and to deliver results.
3. The maximum production or generation rate of a person or system.
To thoroughly understand capacity, you must consider it in four different dimensions:
1. Volumetric Dimension – This measures how much you can hold or contain before saturation. This refers to size and volume.
2. Functional Dimension – This is how far a person or a system can keep going before a breakdown. This measures your endurance and staying power.
3. Cognitive and Psychological Dimension – This is a measure of the intellectual limit of an individual to process information, to manage emotional pressure, to make rational decisions, and sound judgment without being exhausted and overwhelmed.
4. Juridical Dimension – This is a measure of ranking and sphere of authority through resourcefulness, vastness of knowledge, accreditation, qualification, and competence. This refers to status and ranking.
Sadly, praying for things has become the lot of many Believers.
Many Believers have a perpetual cry for “more,” yet the answer to that prayer often remains unaswered because they are unaware that the things they desire require growth, capacity, and spiritual stature to steward them.
God is not only interested in giving you more; He desires to build you into the kind of person who can carry, sustain, and steward more.
One of the ways God answers prayers is by changing you, causing you to grow in stature and capacity until you become able to handle what you have asked Him for.
Authority is not merely the delegation to represent; authority carries weight and responsibility. It is a burden that requires training, preparation, and spiritual development to become built enough to carry it.
The Crown and the Sceptre that symbolise royalty and dominion will only be weights and burdens on the head and the hand of a child.
The Sword and Armour that depict a warrior will only be a weight and a burden in the hand of an unskilled person.
This means that good things can still destroy you if you do not have the capacity.
Desire must match growth and capacity to become a blessing to the receiver.
Prophecy alone, without capacity, will leave you disappointed.
The greatest way to press for a desire is to grow into a version that necessarily attracts that possibility to you.
The seeming cluelessness in your walk of faith is also a record in the realm of the Spirit.
Sometimes, God hides the details of where He is taking you, so that pride and the awareness of your destination do not distract you from your preparation.
(Luke 2:52; Luke 1:80; 1 Samuel 16:10; Genesis 50:20)
If you do not have capacity, you can have lofty visions, prophecies, and great promises over your life that may never come to pass, not because God failed you, but because you failed to build the capacity required to steward them.
The grace of God without capacity is like a water dam without a channel through which the water can flow.

When a man or woman’s capacity is smaller than the grace they carry, that grace can become a burden, even a curse, to them and to those connected to them.
Grace must be matched with capacity and the stature required to carry it.
Sometimes, the arrogance with which Believers speak about the levels and realms they believe they can handle is itself a proof of their lack of growth.
As you grow into the realm you desire, the knowledge and understanding that come with that growth will teach you to speak with humility and respect for what you are asking God to entrust to you.
One of the ways God tames pride is by promoting you.
The easiest part of greatness is arriving there. Maintaining greatness is far greater than arriving in that realm.
Many times overconfidence needs exposure to be managed.
You can feel ready, but that does not mean you are ready.
When you grow into a realm, you will step into it with confidence, not because you merely desire it, but because preparation and grace have made a space for you there.
Pray: Lord, the capacity to step into my next season, and make prophecy manifest in my life, I submit myself to it!
Lord, whatever must be built in me for prophecy to find expression in my life, I submit myself to it.
The gift of the Spirit can make a person charismatic, but it doesn’t mean the person has grown.

Our world today is filled with people who have manipulated their way into responsibilities, positions, and platforms without adequate preparation or capacity. Sooner or later, the lack of growth is exposed, and what was meant to be an opportunity becomes a disaster.

Between prophecy and manifestation is a real journey.
Many of the things we pray for today were not necessarily meant to remain prayer points; they were meant to become consequences of growth.
Sometimes, the fact that we are continually praying for certain things is a symptom of stunted growth.
When you grow, certain results become consequences of who you have become.
Do not become overly protective of the people you are raising, refusing to send them because of fear or insecurity.
The same God who trusted you to raise them is able to trust them with what He has prepared for them. The God that trusts you will also trust them.
HOW TO BUILD CAPACITY:
- Recognise and admit your need for growth and capacity, as the key to maximising grace.
To achieve this, you must open yourself up to learning and, at times, intentionally watch those who represent your future. Their lives can reveal both areas of strength and gaps in your knowledge, which ultimately leads to transformation.
- Invest time in prayer, especially praying in The Holy Spirit.
Prayer is not merely an activity performed out of guilt or religious obligation. It is a response to revelation.
Prayer is an activity of discipline, that is sponsored by revelation.
You cannot contend to build capacity and stature until you first admit your need for growth and capacity, as the way to maximize the grace that God has made available to you.
One of the ways transformation happens is by exposure, in a healthy way.
When you see others and observe how they navigate their journey, overcome challenges, and step into the dimensions of destiny they have been prepared for, it can reveal your own deficiencies and areas where growth is needed.
Healthy exposure does not produce comparison; it produces awareness. It helps you recognize what you need to learn, what must be developed, and where you need to grow.
Many are meant to have grown into generals by now, yet their spiritual operations are still at the level of babes.
Should an attack come for an example, God may have to awaken an intercessor to bear the burden of standing in prayer and contending for your defense.
Do not remain at the level of babes when God is calling you into stature.
When you possess capacity, you become a magnet.
When you build capacity in the Spirit, you will not need to spend your life praying endlessly about every need.
Your spiritual capacity begins to attract every and anything necessary for your becoming and the fulfillment of your destiny.
You cannot build something sustainable in the Kingdom without a strong prayer life.
No man builds something sustainable and becomes a giant in the Kingdom without sufficient time strategically invested in prayer, specifically, prayer for edification.

Do not pray out of guilt; pray out of revelation.
Prayer is an activity of discipline sponsored by revelation. When revelation is absent, you can expend energy without producing the life and transformation that prayer is designed to bring.
When you become too busy, you become half-baked. Do not rush seasons.
_
Capacity is like a magnet. When you grow into a realm, your capacity begins to attract the people, resources, opportunities, and relationships necessary for your assignment.
An attack on your prayer life is an attack on your life.
_
Build spiritual weight. Carry weight in the realm of the Spirit until your words carry authority, where, by one word, you can shift seasons and influence climates. This level of spiritual stature is necessary for opening the gates of nations.

HOW TO BUILD CAPACITY
- Invest time in the study of The Word and in gaining spiritual understanding.

Invest time in gaining useful knowledge as it concerns the laws of life, laws of effective living, and the laws that make for expertise in your field.

Submit to mentorship for growth.
Mentorship provides refined, distilled, and aggregated useful knowledge. It helps you learn from the experience and wisdom of those who have gone ahead of you.
Never outgrow the need to be guided.
- Deploy what you have, because capacity grows with use.
Deploy your time, your energy, and your skills in service within the allowance you have been given.
Do not be too quick to mentor people when you have not yet built results. The safer thing to do is to use that energy and time to build capacity.
The desire to constantly search for people to mentor is proof that there is nothing in you to attract the people you’re searching for. This can sometimes be a distraction from the work of becoming.
As you grow, your impact becomes more thorough, relevant, and efficient.
“And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
And Simon and they that were with him followed after him.
And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee.” Mark 1:35–37 (KJV)
Mentorship gives you access to the wealth of knowledge that comes from experience.
It grants you distilled and aggregated knowledge, helping you avoid unnecessary mistakes and saving you the pain that often comes from learning everything through personal experience.
One of the greatest enemies of mentorship is history, becoming too familiar with the person or the process.
Do not let history cheat you out of receiving.
Accelerate your pace of growth by being meek and humble enough to learn.
Capacity grows with use. Therefore, deploy your time, energy, and skills within the allowance that your season gives you in service, and you will discover that you grow as you serve.
And do not let growth stop you from serving.
Never forget where God took you from. Do not become too embarrassed to serve.
The quickest way to rise in the kingdom is through service.
In the Kingdom, greatness is demonstrated through service.
Respect and honour those who have attained significant levels of influence and stature, yet remain humble enough to serve.
The higher you rise, the greater your capacity to serve should become.
The clearest litmus test on how your destiny will be is how your spiritual life is.

- A genuine passion for God.
A passion for God that is born from deep fellowship with Him and a functional knowledge of who He is. -
Christ-like character.
The nature and character of Christ becoming increasingly evident in your thoughts, words, decisions, and relationships. -
High-level spiritual illumination and broadness of understanding.
Growing in spiritual insight, discernment, and understanding of the ways and principles of the Kingdom. -
The outworking of the power and wisdom of God, producing victory and dominion in your life.

Investment in purpose and an impactful life.
Your life becoming increasingly devoted to the purposes of God and the transformation of lives and systems around you. -
Love.
A genuine love for God and for men, expressed through your life, service, and relationships.
AREAS TO BUILD CAPACITY FOR AN IMPACTFUL LIFE:
1. YOUR SPIRITUAL LIFE
You must develop a functional knowledge of God, learning sound doctrine, understanding how faith works, developing a functional prayer life, and learning how to derive from the promises of God.
The greatest indicators of spiritual growth include:
• Passion for God – born out of deep friendship and functional knowledge of Him.
• Christ-like character – increasingly becoming like Christ in nature and conduct.
• High-level spiritual illumination and broadness of understanding.
• The outworkings of the power and wisdom of God, producing victory and dominion.
• Investedness in purpose and impactful living.
• Love towards God and people.
2. MENTAL STRENGTH AND TRANSFORMATION
Mental transformation comes through study, mentorship, healthy exposure, and praying in the Spirit.
The evidence of transformation can be seen in:
• Your perceptions.
• Your interpretations of things.
• Your definitions of things.
• The accuracy of your beliefs.
3. EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
This is the measure of how you perceive, process, and respond to people and the happenings around you, whether good or bad.
It includes the maturity to manage influence and the spotlight without being distracted or corrupted by them.
It is measured by the strength to receive criticism and even be disliked without allowing these experiences to destroy your sense of self-worth.
It also involves overcoming the pressure to use possessions, achievements, or external validation to define your worth, while resisting the temptation to demean others as a way of protecting your sense of value and relevance.
Anger management is also an important expression of emotional maturity.
4. HEALTH AND BODILY VITALITY
Your body is a vessel for your assignment. If you mismanage your body, you will lose it.
5. LEADERSHIP
Capacity for leadership must be developed across several dimensions:
• Self or image management
• People management
• Vision or project management
• Resource management
6. FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE

7. EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION
This is the process of exchanging thoughts, ideas, and information in such a way that the receiver understands the message clearly and as intended.
Three (3) Indicators of Mental Strength and Transformation:
1. Your perceptions.
2. Your interpretations.
3. Your definitions.
4. The accuracy of your beliefs.
Manage your zeal; do not use another person’s platform to say certain things.
Irrespective of the depth of your conviction, learn to communicate truth within the scope of understanding of the people you are addressing. Wisdom is knowing what to say, how to say it, and where to say it.
Zeal must be guided by wisdom, or it can become abuse.

People may listen to you because you preach well, but they will follow you because you lead well.
Effective Communication: the process of exchanging thoughts, ideas and information, so that the receiver understands the message clearly as intended.
Almost everything in your life will demand communication. Learning how to communicate effectively will require a certain degree of prowess. You must be articulate enough to communicate your thoughts, convictions, and knowledge with clarity. As a minister of God, if you are not articulate, people may shout, “Preach, preacher!” and yet receive nothing because they cannot clearly understand what you are saying. Build your communication capacity.
Improve on your communication. Do not hide behind the statement, “It does not matter.” That mindset is often an expression of mediocrity. Do not ramble for one hour trying to say just one more thing. The ability to say what needs to be said without unnecessary repetition is also a mark of communication capacity.

One way to be a blessing is to learn the art of mentoring, using your status to guide, teach, and support those who are less experienced, helping them grow personally and develop their capacity.
- THE SKILL OF ASKING AND RECEIVING
Many Believers have not been trained to understand that asking and receiving is not just a desire; it is a skill, and it is also spiritual intelligence.
You must know how to find answers and solutions. You must know how to ask God for things through prayer and fellowship.
You must know how to ask men through education and mentorship.
You must know how to ask nature through observation and research.
You must know how to ask yourself through deep contemplation and observation.
Many Believers have not been trained to understand that asking and receiving is not just a desire; it is a skill, and it is also spiritual intelligence.
You must know how to ask God, how to ask men, how to ask nature, and how to ask yourself through deep contemplation.
If you do not know how to receive, you will never be fruitful.
You receive from God through faith.
You receive from men through honour and gratitude.
You receive from yourself through meditation.
Learn the skill of asking. Learn the skill of receiving.

Jesus Christ increased in stature, and as you have received and will engage the truth you have learned today, you will also increase in stature.
Give thanks to God for the grace to grow, the revelation received, and the capacity that is being built within you.
Decree and declare that you will not only be a hearer of The Word, but that you receive the grace to be an intentional doer of The Word, as it concerns your spiritual life, your leadership, your health, and every area of your life. God is intentional about your making. He is intentional about your refinement, shaping you line upon line, precept upon precept. Receive the grace to cooperate with His dealings, submit to His process, and become all that He has ordained you to be.
