COMMENTARY: UNDERSTANDING THE THEME “OWNERS OF EVIL LOAD, CARRY YOUR LOAD”
The Concept of Evil Loads
In spiritual warfare terminology, an “evil load” refers to any burden, oppression, or affliction that is not from God. These are weights that the enemy places upon individuals, families, or destinies to hinder progress, steal joy, and frustrate purpose. Evil loads can manifest as:
- Sickness and disease – Chronic or incurable conditions
- Poverty and lack – Financial struggles despite hard work
- Marital delays – Prolonged singleness or marital crises
- Barrenness – Inability to bear children
- Stagnation – Lack of progress in career or destiny
- Bad dreams – Recurring nightmares or night terrors
- Generational curses – Patterns of failure repeating across generations
- Mental afflictions – Depression, anxiety, confusion
The Principle of Return to Sender
The theme “Owners of Evil Load, Carry Your Load” is rooted in the biblical principle of divine retribution. Throughout Scripture, we see that the wicked often fall into the traps they set for the righteous.
Esther 7 – Haman was hanged on the gallows he built for Mordecai.
Proverbs 26:27 – “Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him.”
This program declares that every evil load assigned to you shall return to its sender. Every trap set for you shall catch the trapper. Every arrow shot against you shall boomerang.
The Role of the Bottle of Oil
The instruction to “come with a bottle of oil” is significant. In Scripture, oil represents the Holy Spirit, anointing, and consecration. During the program, the oil is sanctified through prayer and becomes a point of contact for:
