Scripture Psalm 119:130
Venue Chida Event Centre, Utako, Abuja
Time 5:00 PM (WAT)
Host Apostle Joshua Selman

The Word of God is light; it enlightens, renews our understanding, and transforms our lives as we yield to its truth. As we gather this Sunday, come with an open heart and a hunger for God. Be ready to receive divine wisdom, grow in spiritual understanding, and be equipped to walk in the fullness of God’s purpose for your life.

What to Expect

Koinonia Sunday Service is a weekly apostolic and prophetic gathering where believers experience the Word, Worship, Miracles, and Love of God. The ministry operates with a six-fold mandate that shapes every service:

  1. To help actualize the global harvest of souls (Acts 2:36-39; Romans 10:13-15)
  2. To equip and build believers unto stature and maturity through the revelation of God’s Word (Matthew 18:18-20; Ephesians 4:11-14)
  3. To be instruments of completion and balance (Colossians 1:28-29; Acts 18:22-28)
  4. To demonstrate the reality of the love and power of God through miracles, signs, and wonders — bringing healing, deliverance, and transformation (Acts 2:22)
  5. To help strengthen the unity in the body of Christ (Acts 2:1; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27)
  6. To become a bridge of hope for visionary leadership and national transformation

Services typically begin with Spirit-led worship, followed by prayer and prophetic declarations, then the ministry of the Word — revelatory teaching that draws believers into deeper intimacy with the Holy Spirit. Many attendees testify of healings, deliverances, and divine direction received during these gatherings.

The service runs from 5:00 PM and typically lasts until 9:00 PM or a little later. If you wish to sit in the main auditorium, it is advisable to arrive much earlier — between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM — to secure a good seat and avoid watching from the large screens outside.

How to Prepare to Be Blessed

Preparation is key to receiving all that God has for you this Sunday.

Spiritual Preparation

  • Pray before the service — Ask God to speak specifically to you through His Word
  • Confess and repent — Approach God with a clean heart (Psalm 24:3-4)
  • Release unforgiveness — A cluttered heart hinders worship
  • Cultivate expectancy — Come believing that God will meet you (Hebrews 11:6)

Practical Preparation

  • Arrive early — The venue fills up quickly; early arrival allows you to settle in and pray
  • Bring a Bible and notebook — Take notes and mark scriptures that speak to you
  • Invite someone — Your invitation could be the beginning of someone’s testimony
  • Turn off distractions — Silence your phone and minimize interruptions

The Right Posture

“Guard your steps when you go to the house of God… let your words be few.” — Ecclesiastes 5:1-2

Come with reverent joy — expectant faith mixed with awe for who God is. Engage your mind, heart, and voice throughout the service.

Service Notes for Today

“I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.” Psalms 122: 1 (KJV)
_
The house of God is a place set apart for worship, teaching His Word, fellowship among believers, and strengthening our faith.

It is a place of reverence, encounter, instruction, and communion with God. Tonight, prepare your heart for an encounter, be sensitive to divine instructions, and be ready to commune with God.

Welcome to Koinonia! A place of intimacy, partnership, and fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.” Luke 18: 1 (KJV)
_
Prayer is one of the greatest weapons of the Christian faith. It is the authorised channel to communicate with God, fellowship with Him, express our heart’s desires, seek His will, and enforce His will.

Lift your voice and cry out to God in this session of prayer, insisting that there will be evidence of your love and service to God.

“And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.” – Genesis 21:19 (KJV)

Father, tonight, open my eyes to see whatever You have destined in God’s Word for me tonight!

Father, we pray that our eyes will be opened to see the wondrous things from Your law. Cause our eyes to see tonight from Your Word!

Father, we bless You; Father, we thank You!

Prayer

“Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.” Psalms 33: 2 (KJV)
_
Worship is one of the most profound expressions of our relationship with God. It is our response to who He is, our recognition of His greatness, and the honour we give Him because of His nature, majesty, and worthiness.

As we worship tonight, let your heart focus on Jesus Christ, for He alone is worthy of our praise and worship.

“But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers. And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat. And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again. And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee. And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.”

The character of light is that it burns in dimensions and various degrees of intensity
_
Pray: Father, give me light, and increase the measure of my light. Increase me from border to border and stretch me in the name of Jesus Christ!

“Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.” Romans 15:7 (KJV)
_
Is this your first time joining us for a Koinonia Service?

We warmly welcome you to Koinonia! We do not take your presence for granted, and we do not take lightly your decision to be a part of tonight’s service.

On behalf of God’s servant, Apostle Joshua Selman, we gladly welcome you to this family. Kindly complete our first-timers’ form via https://bit.ly/KoinoniaFirst-timers and tell us where you are joining from.

We pray that you will be blessed by the ministry of the Word and have a lasting encounter with God. We look forward to fellowshipping with you again!

“And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.” Luke 9: 29 (KJV)
_
Prayer is more than asking God for things. Prayer is fellowship with God. It is an expression of our relationship with Him, an opportunity to grow in intimacy with Him, and a means through which we align our hearts with His purposes.

Lift your voice and declare that the Word of God and His will for your life will manifest experientially in the name of Jesus Christ!

Ministering: Dr_Gbenga_Oseke

“And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray. And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.” Luke 9: 28-29 (KJV)
_
It is possible for several people to go to the place of prayer, but only one person’s countenance will be altered.

To benefit from prayer, you must connect your heart to it and avoid all distractions.

Our father, Apostle Joshua Selman, has declared to us several times that we have entered a new season, both as individuals and as a ministry.
_
Pray: Father, I receive wisdom, and I receive power for the current season and phase of my life in the name of Jesus Christ!

🎶I’m not helpless, I don’t walk alone
Seven eyes, seven wings, seven scrolls
You are welcome, oh Breaker invade

“And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” Luke 24: 49 (KJV)
_
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1: 8 (KJV)
_
For you to step into the next season, you need to tarry, and you need a greater level of wisdom than what you operate at in your current level.
_
Pray: Father, I press for higher wisdom and higher light in the name of Jesus Christ!

🎶King of kings
Lord of lords
Faithful and true
Lamb of God we worship You🎶

Father, we worship You because we love You. And as we worship, we declare to the world that it is Your love, Your grace, and Your faithfulness that have made us who we are today.

Lord, our hearts are open before You. We ask that You bless us as we have come into Your presence. We have come to be delivered, to be transformed, to be changed, and to be enlightened by Your Word.

Father, we receive all that You have prepared for us tonight, and we declare that, through all that You do in our lives, You alone will be glorified, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Excellence and order are important, but when we come into the presence of God, we must discern when to lay aside everything and give ourselves wholly to worship.

In our pursuit of order, we must never become overly regimented that we organise God out of our gatherings. We cannot invite Him into our midst and then insist that He moves only according to our terms. We must create room for His leading and give Him the liberty to have His way among us.

We are organised people, but in the presence of God, we must remain childlike, yielded, and malleable. Excellence is important, but not as important as authenticity.

If all God desires to do tonight is to have us pray and close the service, we must be yielded enough to allow Him to alter the course of the service. We are people of excellence and principles, but we must never become so committed to our order that we organise God out of our midst.

God is the One who determines the flow of the service, and He must have the liberty to interrupt, redirect, and change things according to His will.

When God steps in, we must give Him the unrestricted liberty to have His way.

When we come into the presence of God, we not only receive from God; we also become instruments of edification to ourselves.

It is possible to submit yourself to the process of growth until you become a Believer whose spiritual capacity becomes a threat to devil.

PLATFORMS GOD USES TO GIVE HIS PEOPLE ENCOUNTERS

God uses various platforms to bring His people into encounters with Him:

  • Heartfelt prayer
  • Soul-lifting worship
  • Testimonies
  • The ministry of The Word (a major part of our encounters comes from The Word)
  • The ministry of The Spirit
  • Fellowship with one another

The Word of God edifies on two levels:
1. Intellectual level
2. A spirit communication

When you receive the Word in a service, you receive far more than what you hear with your ears. There are dimensions of understanding and spiritual impartation that go beyond the immediate layers of comprehension.

Zeal is an important instrument in manifesting destiny, but when exercised in error and without knowledge, it can become a curse rather than productive.

You cannot attain mastery in the Kingdom by luck. There is requisite knowledge, understanding, and spiritual intelligence you must have to attain victory in the Kingdom.

Every time you slow down in your growth process, you frustrate the arrival of someone’s answer, because God often answers the prayers of men by sending other men.

Your growth is not just about you; it is also about the lives God intends to touch, the destinies He intends to influence, and the prayers He intends to answer through you.

God answers men by sending men.

Your growth accelerates the arrival of answers to someone’s prayers.

You must understand that what you are learning and the person you are becoming are not just for your benefit; they are also connected to the destinies of those God intends to reach through you.

Whenever you grow weary in the place of prayer, feel discouraged about coming to church, or struggle to remain committed to fellowship and your sacrifices in the Kingdom, remember this: your spiritual growth, obedience to God, and your sacrifices in the Kingdom may be the very instruments He uses to answer someone else’s prayer.

Your growth is bigger than you. Someone’s testimony may be connected to your becoming.

It is possible to submit yourself to the process of growth until you become a Believer whose spiritual capacity becomes a threat to devil.

The devil does not fear you merely because you exist; he fears what you become through spiritual growth, knowledge, and capacity.

The enemy fears the Believer who has been equipped by God because wherever such a Believer appears, darkness is challenged, pain gives way to healing, ignorance is confronted with truth, and the works of the enemy are brought under the authority of Christ.

As he walked to his car after work, he suddenly realised he was walking fast — something he had not been able to do since the pain began. He stopped to check, walked slowly, then faster, bent and twisted — and the pain was completely gone. “I almost screamed! I ran quickly to my car and started shouting and thanking God,” he testified. “This God is good!”
