All men fall, great men get back up. Getting up is not a matter of how strong you are. It’s a matter of choice! Men who get back up are back on their feet simply because they decided to get back up! It takes a decision to get back up whenever you fall. Thank God you saw the last day of 2025! You shall see 2026! You must resolve that no matter how many times the devil knocked you down on your back, you will get back up again and continue in this race of life! The best years are still ahead! Refuse to call it quits! Choose to run and run and run again and again until you get to the finish line. Demas started well. He was once with Paul, supporting him, encouraging him, working with him and touching the lives of hundreds for God. In Philemon 1:23, Paul called him, ‘my fellow labourers.’ But one day, Paul’s report changed. He said, “Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world.” Demas was distracted! That distraction did not happen in one day! It happened gradually! Hear Smith Wigglesworth: “Many Christians think that they are obedient because they do not overtly sin by disobeying the rules – the do’s and don’ts. But this is not all there is to it. We must realize that God, the Holy Spirit, is ever waiting to draw us away from the distractions and sinfulness of our surroundings just to bring us into fellowship with Him.” No matter how strong you think you are, the devil is going to do his worst to distract you and pull you away from God’s best.
