Commentary

Day 10! Only 4 days to go. The finish line is in sight. You have made it through nine days of fasting, prayer, and declaration. Do not stop now. The last four days are where the breakthrough comes. The last four days are where the chains break. The last four days are where the mercy manifests.

And the last mercy day in the mid-year fast. Today is the day of mercy. It is your last opportunity in this fast to cry out for mercy. Mercy is the unearned favour of God. It is not what you deserve—it is what God gives. It is not earned—it is received. And when mercy arrives, help follows. When mercy speaks, help breaks out.

When God’s mercy arrives, help follows. You have been waiting for help. You have been crying for help. You have been believing for help. But help does not come first—mercy comes first. Mercy opens the door. Help walks through the door. When mercy arrives, help is not far behind.

When mercy speaks, help breaks out. Mercy does not whisper—it speaks. And when mercy speaks, help breaks out. Help from unexpected sources. Help from divine connections. Help from supernatural interventions. Help that cannot be explained by natural logic.

There is no cry for mercy that El-Roi ignores. El-Roi—the God who sees. He sees your tears. He sees your struggle. He sees your desperation. And He does not ignore your cry for mercy. He hears. He responds. He acts.

We know that when everything else fails, mercy never fails. Money fails. Health fails. Relationships fail. Plans fail. Strategies fail. But mercy never fails. Mercy is the one thing that never runs out, never gives up, never comes too late.

The anchor scripture is Hebrews 4:16 – a powerful invitation to approach the throne of grace with confidence. Not fear, not timidity, not hesitation—confidence. Why? Because the throne is not a throne of judgment—it is a throne of grace. At that throne, you receive mercy for your failures and grace to help in your time of need. Mercy is for the past—it covers your failures. Grace is for the present—it helps in your time of need.

If you are believing for a wedding, dress like a bride or groom. If you are believing for promotion, dress for the role. Faith acts before it sees.
• Bring photos or symbolic representations of your expectations. Bring a picture of the house you are believing for. Bring a picture of the baby you are expecting. Bring a symbol of the business you are starting. Let the image represent your faith.
• Bring every negative report to the altar of mercy. Medical reports, financial statements, legal documents—do not hide them. Bring them to the altar. Mercy exchanges negative reports for testimonies.

Declare with desperation and confidence: “OH LORD, ABBA, EL-ROI, PLEASE SHOW ME MERCY! HELP ME, LORD.”
