Henry Ward Beecher, American clergyman and abolitionist, said, “Every tomorrow has two handles. We can take hold of it with the handle of anxiety or the handle of faith.” What handle are you using to take hold of your tomorrow? Are you using the handle of worry and anxiety or are you using the handle of faith?

When God showed Noah a picture of tomorrow, he chose to grab hold of tomorrow with the handle of faith. How? He stepped out to obey God. Verse 7 of today’s scripture says, “By faith, Noah being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, and prepared an ark…” The same is mentioned about Abraham, Verse 8: “By faith, Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.”

A man who has stepped out in obedience on the instruction of God concerning his future is a man who has decided to take hold of his tomorrow by the handle of faith. Such a man can never be disappointed. There is nothing the devil can do to rob that man of the victory that God has locked into that man’s future.
Through today’s devotional, the Spirit of God is saying to a user of today’s devotional: “Make use of the faith handle. Hold the future with the hands of faith, and let it be secured by the power of Him that knows tomorrow more than you know the past.”
