TOPIC: HE HAD THE CAPACITY TO SPEAK AND TO STRIKE! DON’T PANIC! – 2
Continued from yesterday! Moses’ part was very small; just strike the rock. Anyone in Israel could have done that! Moses had the capacity as given by God both to strike and to speak to the rock! The main thing was what God was doing in the heart of the earth to provide a bountiful river of water! His METHODS may change, but He is WORKING BEHIND THE SCENES TO PRODUCE WATER and to SUPPLY ALL YOUR NEEDS! So, every miracle has two people working together: Moses before the people; God in the hidden depths of the earth! I repeat: There are always two agents in every fruitful work! WILLING MEN AND A FAITHFUL GOD! God’s work is to make the water flow, but your work is to strike or speak in obedience! No matter the delay, no matter the push and pain of that battle confronting you, NEVER PANIC! Trust the Author, not the story! Trust God’s timing, as He sees the end from the beginning! No wonder 1 Peter 5:7 is loud, “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” You cannot CAST and PANIC at the same time! Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God! Panic comes when you trust your feelings more than His promises; but peace comes when you remind yourself that God has never lost control — not for a second, not for a moment! HE DOES NOT BLINK NOR SLUMBER! God has a plan and God will make a way! Just hold on, hold out and trust Him!
