BULLET 3: MISTAKES Mistakes are a natural part of life and are often our best teachers. They provide us with valuable lessons and experiences that shape us and help us to grow. Rather than worrying about making mistakes, try to see them as opportunities for learning and improvement. Remember, no one is perfect, and everyone makes mistakes, even pastors and prophets! Adam, Eve, Abraham and Sarah, Jacob, Moses, Noah (was drunk), Gideon, David, Solomon, Saul, Samson, Mighty Elijah, Peter, etc, made mistakes! These were heroes who made mistakes! Some ended up as inspirational characters! What matters in the long run is not the mistake itself but how you learn and bounce back from it. Hear Nikki Giovanni: “Mistakes are a fact of life. It is the response to error that counts.” Then close with Mary Tyler Moore: “Take chances, make mistakes. That’s how you grow.” Very true! Stop beating yourself because of mistakes this year! Close with 2 Corinthians 12: 9 : “But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” Trust God, learn from your past weaknesses (mistakes) and move on! 2024 is your year!
