Nobel Prize-winning physicist, Martin Perl, was asked what he attributed his success to. “My mother,” he answered. “Every day when I came home from school she asked me, ‘So, Marty, did you ask any good question today?” The Holy Ghost wants to draw your attention to two important lessons from the story above! First, how many people can attribute their success story in life and ministry to you? Yes, how many people can say they made it in life, family and ministry because you stood by them, or encouraged them, or mentored them, etc? Your success in life is directly proportionate to the success of others. That means you are a success, if you played a role in the success of others. That is why you must reject “the winner takes it all” mentality! Hear this: “You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you” (Anonymous)! Then James Matthew opined, “Those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves.” Today’s 1st scripture vs. 8 says, “And God is able to bless you abundantly…having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” Abounding in every good work means – BEING A MODEL, AN ENCOURAGER, A MENTOR, a POSTIVE INFLUENCE to someone! “WHEN YOU HAVE ALL THAT YOU NEED” in that scripture means, BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING! Martin Perl attributed his success to his mother! When your son, daughter, student or church member is asked about their success in life, will they attribute it to you? …To be continued tomorrow!
