TOPIC: PABLO ESCOBAR: WHEN MONEY COULD NOT BUY PEACE!
CLICK TO READ BASIC SCRIPTURE 26th OCTOBER 2026 BIBLE READING
Late Pablo Escobar was one of the most notorious drug lords in history (He was called, “KING OF COCAINE”)! During his life time, he was once reported to have offered to pay off Colombia’s national debt, which at the time amounted to billions of US dollars, in exchange for one thing: that he would no longer be hunted, or pursued by authorities. He was willing to go almost bankrupt to offset the country’s debt, so that he could have peace of mind. But of course, the country of Columbia rejected the drug money, because they knew there was a limit that blood money could go! This was a man who destroyed lives with his drugs around the world, with guns and bullets. He was so consumed with the love of money that he thought, just like him, his country will do anything for money. He believed he could purchase peace, buy freedom, and negotiate safety. Unfortunately for him, despite all his wealth, he could not sleep peacefully! He lived, surrounded by fear, hiding in secret underground bunkers and constant pursuit. Ah! What a tragedy! This reveals a dangerous truth: Evil money can buy comfort, but it cannot buy peace with God! Mark 8:36 asks a terrifying question, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Listen to Randy Armstrong, “Worrying does not take away tomorrow’s troubles. It takes away today’s peace.” When a person builds prosperity without righteousness, success becomes a prison! Catch this: Peace of mind begins when you stop trying to control things that were never yours to control! Escobar had billions, yet he could not buy freedom from fear! He was later gunned down like a common criminal by the police. Do not pursue wealth at the expense of your prayer time, fasting, Bible study time, or fellowship with God, etc. The greatest prosperity is not having billions; it is having God, peace, purpose, and a clean conscience!

PRAYER POINTS: Take Song 2: Take my life and let it be…
- In your own words, pray about today’s word as led.
- Worrying does not take away tomorrow’s troubles. It takes
away today’s peace! I decree that from this day and in this last
quarter of 2026, I shall not be a VICTIM OF WORRY AND
lack of peace!
