TOPIC: LESSON FROM DOCTOR CARVER! USE EVERY OPPORTUNITY!
Welcome! George Washington Carver is well known as an African-American scientist who developed scores of products from the peanut. Dr. Carver was also a humble servant of God who took every opportunity to speak to others about the Saviour he loved and served. During the 1920s, members of the YMCA and the Commission on Inter-Racial Co-operation asked Carver to address white student audiences at colleges and universities in the South. Carver spoke about the wonders of the natural world and the loving God who created the earth and all people. As his goal for these meetings, Carver said he wanted the students to find Jesus and make Him a daily, hourly, and momentby-moment part of their lives. Hear him: “I want them to see the Great Creator in the smallest and apparently the most insignificant things about them.” Wow! What the Holy Ghost is saying is, USE EVERY OPPORTUNITY AS YOU GO OUT DAILY! Don’t wait for any convenient time! Let God use your life and ministry to DEPOPULATE HELL and POPULATE HEAVEN! Determine that NO OPPORTUNITY shall be missed again! No wonder Chuck Swindoll screamed, “We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations.” Today’s scripture vs. 16 says, “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” Redeeming time means to USE IT WELL FROM NOW ON! I see HONEY coming out of your address! Amen and amen!
