Continued from yesterday! Remember Ms. K. U. In an interview with journalists just before her Voluntary Assisted death, Ms. K. U. recounted how she lost her only son four years ago! He had fallen asleep on the sofa while eating a sandwich, after a heavy night out. Soon after, she was confronted with every parent’s worst nightmare. “He was purple,” she said. “I thought, ‘It’s his heart.” She got her son to the floor and began CPR, screaming for help. Paramedics arrived and rushed him to hospital, where the worst news came: half a cherry tomato had been found lodged in his windpipe. It had taken specialist equipment to remove it. Ms. K. U. sat with him for five days before his life support was switched off at the hospital. By her permission, his organs were donated for transplant – to help others! She said: “Afterwards, I got a letter from the man who got his heart. He said: “Thanks to your late son who made it possible for me to be able to play with my kids again.” Wow! Another recipient was a four year-old child. And Ms K.U. said: “That was a comfort, but it also ripped at me.” Oh! What a life! What a pain and an experience of agony! Other people were living happily by using the organs of her son who was dead! No wonder she decided to end it all. As we continue tomorrow, the Holy Ghost wants you to remember Helen Keller: “Self-pity is our worst enemy, and if we yield to it, we can never do anything wise in this world.” No wonder today’s scripture says vs. 14 says: ‘Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.’ Ah! No matter the matter, BE OF GOOD COURAGE because life may not be FAIR, but God will get you miraculously to your Promised Land! Hold on and hold out!
