Welcome to another hour of encounter with He that is called “the Lamb in the Lion.” In French, there is what is called, “Folie de Grandeur” (meaning, The Stupidity of Greatness or a false belief that one is very great or very important). Yes, you are great in Christ but the Word of God says in Romans 12:3: “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly…” Sober Thinking Is The Champion’s Secret Of Constant Greatness! “Folie de Grandeur” means in every greatness (Grandeur), there is an element of folly or foolishness(Folie). That means there is an element of stupidity in greatness or breakthroughs! Always remember this: A humble man will always succeed! Can you imagine that after the terrible things that Ahab and Jezebel did to Naboth, which also angered God so much that He (God) had to send Prophet Elijah to King Ahab and a “simple show of humility” before God through fasting and prayer in this case, changed the mind of God? That God did the same for Ahab, for whom the Bible shows no evidence of God’s love? That the Bible shows evidence of God’s love for David, etc, proves two points: The first is that, as Peter in Cornelius’ home said, God has no favourites; anyone who fears Him and does His will is acceptable to Him. The second point is that humility has a special power of obtaining things and favour from God, and the obvious reason is that in humility, God sees Himself. God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble. No wonder Jesus said in Matthew 11: 29: “…Learn of Me for I am meek and humble in heart…” You can’t sweep people off their feet, if you can’t be swept off your own! Deliberately practice humility as you pursue greatness this year! Always remember: “Folie De Grandeur!” May riches, favour and greatness not be your cemetery in Jesus name! - Ask for the grace to be very humble wherever you go today/this year.
- Holy Spirit, help me not to be demoted by breakthroughs or greatness
this year in Jesus name. - This is my year of a new song and evidence. O Lord, grant me a
humble heart to forgive others first, a heart to apologize first, a heart to
listen, and a heart to learn in Jesus name. - Pray for the salvation of your loved ones this year (Mention their
names). - I refuse to be remote-controlled from my village in Jesus name.
