TOPIC: WHY THE BISHOP WEPT! KNOW WHY TRIALS COME!

Years ago, the wonderful man of God and presiding bishop of the Winners Chapel Worldwide, David Oyedepo, wept profusely on his 50th birthday when a l4-year-old boy was killed by the church bus on the day he was holding a thanksgiving service to celebrate his birthday! But consider this: Why did God allow a bad thing to happen on a good day? More questions! Why did God allow a day of joy to be tainted with sorrow? Why should blood be shed on a day that life was being celebrated? Did the brethren not fast and pray enough?”Questions, questions and further questions! Why does evil sometimes befall good people? Why does God allow His people to go through trials, pain and tribulation? Jesus said in John 16:33, “In the world you shall have tribulations: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” God allows us to pass through the fire because the terrestrial part of your life (your earthen vessel – your flesh) must bow to the celestial part (your spirit). The process of God making sure that your spirit dominates your flesh on this planet is called “trials” and “tribulations.” There is nobody great on this planet that has not or did not pass through that road. The trial you go through is a “prophet” God sends to reveal you better to your real self! God did not allow the Jews to pass through the easy road/shortcut to the Promised Land (Exodus 13:17), because they needed to be trained through the tough “University of Affliction” in the wilderness! Nobody is exempted! A bishop crying on his birthday is a part of the mysterious process! The annals of history are crowded with individuals who overcame discouragement and climbed from obscurity to greatness! The best way out of a difficulty is through it! Hold on and hold out!
