The service commenced with high praise and worship, setting the atmosphere for divine encounters. The mass choir led the congregation in songs that have become anthems of faith across generations. PART FOUR: COMMENTARY ON DAY 2 PRAYER POINTS
The Significance of Day 2
Day 2 of the 40th anniversary Holy Ghost Service is the traditional “Holy Ghost Service” night, the format that has become the hallmark of RCCG’s monthly gatherings. For four decades, this service has been a conduit for miracles, deliverance, and divine encounters. The prayer points for this night reflect the heart of a people seeking not just blessings but transformation.
Point 1: Thanksgiving for Being Part of God’s Work
“Thank the Almighty God that you’re part of what He is doing today.”
This opening prayer point establishes gratitude as the foundation. To be alive in this season, to be present at the 40th anniversary, to be counted among those God is using—these are not accidents but privileges. Thanksgiving positions the heart to receive more. It acknowledges that we are not here by our own merit but by divine grace.
Point 2: Divine Wisdom
“Father, give me divine wisdom.”
Wisdom is the principal thing (Proverbs 4:7). In a world of complexity and confusion, divine wisdom provides clarity, direction, and insight. This prayer acknowledges that human intelligence is insufficient; we need wisdom from above—pure, peaceable, gentle, and full of mercy (James 3:17).
Point 3: Excellent Health
“Father, please give me excellent health.”
Health is wealth, but this prayer asks for more than ordinary health—it asks for EXCELLENT health. This aligns with the anniversary theme of Excellence. God desires that His children prosper and be in health, even as their souls prosper (3 John 1:2). Excellent health means vitality, strength, and wholeness that exceeds the norm.
Point 4: Flourishing, Not Just Wealth
“Father, please let me flourish. I don’t want to be just rich/wealthy, I want to flourish.”
This is a profound distinction. Wealth is about accumulation; flourishing is about holistic well-being. A tree that flourishes is not just alive but vibrant, fruitful, and spreading. To flourish means to thrive in every dimension—spiritually, financially, relationally, and physically. It is the fullness of the abundant life Jesus promised (John 10:10).
Point 5: Comprehensive Freedom
“Father, give me comprehensive freedom in my body, soul, and spirit.”
Freedom is not just physical. Many are free in body but bound in soul—by fear, anxiety, trauma, or unforgiveness. Others are free in body and soul but bound in spirit—by sin, guilt, or spiritual oppression. This prayer asks for comprehensive freedom: total liberty in every dimension of human existence. This is the freedom Christ came to bring (John 8:36).
Point 6: Overflowing Anointing
“Father, give me overflowing anointing.”
Anointing is the empowerment of the Holy Spirit for service. Overflowing anointing means there is more than enough—not just for personal needs but to bless others. It is the oil that does not run dry, the power that never diminishes. This prayer asks for such abundance of spiritual enablement that it spills over to everyone around.
Point 7: Deeper Hunger for God
“Father, give me a deeper hunger to seek and serve You persistently.”
Hunger is the secret to spiritual growth. The satisfied soul despises honey, but to the hungry soul, every bitter thing is sweet (Proverbs 27:7). This prayer asks for a hunger that never diminishes, a thirst that always seeks more of God. It is the cry of the psalmist: “As the deer panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after Thee, O God” (Psalm 42:1).
Point 8: The Spirit of Excellence
“Father, please give me the spirit of excellence.”
This prayer directly connects to the anniversary theme. The spirit of excellence is not about perfectionism but about doing all things as unto the Lord. It is the spirit that distinguished Daniel above others (Daniel 6:3). It is the commitment to glorify God in every task, every relationship, every endeavor.
Point 9: 40 Miracles Before Next Anniversary
“Pray for the General Overseer to. Father, before this time next year, please give me at least 40 miracles.”
This is a bold, specific prayer. Forty miracles—one for each year of the Holy Ghost Service. It is a prayer that ties personal breakthrough to the celebration of God’s faithfulness. It acknowledges that the same God who has done wonders for four decades can do wonders in one life within one year.
PART FIVE: COMMENTARY ON THE PROPHECIES
Prophecy 1: Debt Freedom and Financial Liberty
“Not only will God pay your debts, but you will never owe again.”
This is a double portion prophecy. First, existing debts are cleared—supernaturally, miraculously. Second, a new financial order is established where debt is no longer a lifestyle. This is the fulfillment of Deuteronomy 28:12: “Thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.”
Prophecy 2: Divine Provision for Heart’s Desires
“I decree over you my children, beginning from now, anything your heart desires to do, God will make the means available.”
This prophecy connects vision with provision. When God places a desire in your heart, He also makes available the resources to fulfill it. It is the promise of Philippians 4:19: “My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Prophecy 3: Wealth
“I decree to you, you shall be wealthy.”
This is a direct decree of prosperity. Wealth in Scripture is not for selfish indulgence but for kingdom advancement. It is the ability to bless others, to fund the gospel, and to leave an inheritance for generations (Proverbs 13:22).
Prophecy 4: A Wall of Fire
“I pray in the name of the One who called me, for the rest of your life, a wall of fire will be around you.”
This echoes Zechariah 2:5: “For I, saith the Lord, will be unto her a wall of fire round about.” It is divine protection that encircles and defends. Fire not only protects but also purifies. This prophecy promises both safety and sanctity.
Prophecy 5: The Indwelling God Never Leaves
“I pray that God who is in you will never come out of you.”
This is the assurance of the abiding presence of God. It echoes Christ’s promise: “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (Hebrews 13:5). The Holy Spirit who dwells within will not depart. The relationship is permanent, secure, and eternal.
