2 Kings 13:15-19

15 Elisha said to him, “Take a bow and arrows.” So he took a bow and arrows. 16 Then he said to the king of Israel, “Put your hand on the bow.” And he put his hand on it, then Elisha laid his hands on the king’s hands. 17 He said, “Open the window toward the east,” and he opened it. Then Elisha said, “Shoot!” And he shot. And he said, “The LORD’S arrow of victory, even the arrow of victory over Aram; for you will defeat the Arameans at Aphek until you have destroyed them.” 18 Then he said, “Take the arrows,” and he took them. And he said to the king of Israel, “Strike the ground,” and he struck it three times and stopped. 19 So the man of God was angry with him and said, “You should have struck five or six times, then you would have struck Aram until you would have destroyed it. But now you shall strike Aram only three times.”

I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.

🔥 PRAYER COMMENTARY FOR RCCG MEMBERS

Beloved, today’s prayer focus is “My Year of Uncommon Opportunities.” As we study the scriptures and pray through these 15 prayer points, the Holy Spirit is positioning us for doors that no man can shut and victories that require persistent, aggressive faith.

The Revelation of the Arrow (2 Kings 13:15-19)

This passage is a divine blueprint for how uncommon opportunities are seized. Notice the sequence:

1. The Prophetic Instruction – Elisha told the king to take a bow and arrows. This was not a military strategy but a spiritual act of obedience. When the man of God speaks, our response must be immediate and unquestioning.

2. The Impartation – Elisha laid his hands upon the king’s hands. This signifies that the victory would not come by the king’s strength alone, but by the transfer of prophetic grace. As RCCG members, we carry the mantle of our father in the Lord, Pastor E.A. Adeboye. The same God who has used him internationally wants to use us.

3. The Arrow of Victory – The arrow shot eastward was not just any arrow—it was “the LORD’S arrow of victory.” Our opportunities are not manufactured by human effort; they are arrows released from the quiver of Almighty God.

4. The Striking of the Ground – This is where many believers fail. The king struck three times and stopped. The man of God was angry because limited action produces limited results. Uncommon opportunities require uncommon persistence. If you want complete victory, you must strike until the enemy is completely destroyed.

Question: How many times have you struck? Have you stopped at three when God was waiting for you to strike six?

The Open Door That No Man Can Shut (Revelation 3:8)

Jesus Himself declares that He has set before us an open door. This is not a possibility—it is a settled decree in the spiritual realm. However, notice the conditions:

• You have little strength – God specialises in using the weak. Your inadequacy is not a barrier; it is a qualification for His power to be displayed.
• You have kept My word – Obedience positions you for uncommon favour.
• You have not denied My name – Loyalty to Christ, even in difficult times, activates divine doors.

The enemy may oppose you (1 Corinthians 16:9), but the One who opens is greater than the one who opposes.

The Power of Divine Connections (Prayer Points 10-11)

Many of these prayer points focus on connections—people with capacity, power, and position to lift your destiny. This is not manipulation; it is divine orchestration. God is the God of connections:

• Joseph was connected to Pharaoh’s cupbearer, then to Pharaoh himself.
• Esther was connected to the king at the right time.
• Ruth was connected to Boaz, her kinsman redeemer.

You need people to fulfil your destiny. Pray aggressively for divine connections.

Jabez cried out: “Oh that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain.” And God granted his request.

Like Jabez, we are asking for:
– Blessing indeed – Not ordinary blessing, but abundant, overflowing blessing
– Enlarged territory – Increased influence, reach, and impact
– God’s hand upon us – Divine presence and power
– Protection from evil – Keeping us from anything that would derail our destiny

• Elijah shut the heavens by prayer and opened them again—he operated at a level that affected nations.

The same God who did it for them wants to do it for you. You are not destined for mediocrity. You are called to international relevance.

Before You Begin:

• Find a quiet place where you can pray without distraction
• Have your Bible open to the scriptures referenced
• Write down any specific opportunities you are trusting God for in 2026
• Put on the whole armour of God (Ephesians 6:10-18)

As You Pray:

• Pray each prayer point deliberately, not hurriedly
• Personalise them—use “I,” “me,” and “my”
• Add your specific situations to the general prayers
• Listen for the Holy Spirit’s direction—He may lead you to pray longer on certain points
• Be aggressive in the spirit—strike the ground in prayer until you sense breakthrough

After Praying:

• Write down any impressions, scriptures, or directions the Holy Spirit gave you
• Thank God for answered prayers, even before you see the manifestation
• Share these prayers with family and friends—corporate prayer multiplies power
• Watch for the open doors—they are coming

Father, we thank You for Day 13 of this fasting and prayers. We have prayed according to Your Word and according to the direction of the Commission. We have struck the ground with the arrow of the Lord—and we will not stop until complete victory is ours.

Open doors that no man can shut are manifesting in our lives. Divine connections are locating us. Uncommon opportunities are chasing us down and overtaking us.

We receive the seed of greatness. We receive the secret to succeed. We receive international excellence. We receive reconstruction for uncommon success.

Thank You, Father, for 2026—our year of UNCOMMON OPPORTUNITIES!
