A Believer’s walk of dominion begins with knowing God and understanding purpose. We were created to reflect God’s nature and reveal Him to the world. Everything we have gains value when it leads others to God. The fight of faith is making what is finished in Christ real in our lives.
THE SIX ASPECTS OF THE FIGHT OF FAITH
- The contention for the accuracy of thoughts, ideas, and belief systems.
- The labour of establishing spiritual realities, through words, in prayer.
- The labour and the contention to walk consistently and perpetually in obedience.
- Contending against demonic spirits and satanic infrastructures.
- The patience and the persistence of faith.
- The wisdom to navigate the complexities that exist in the world of men.
Transformation is a continuous process that demands effort. The Believer must remain aware of the resources available in Christ Jesus and engage with them consistently, in obedience and patience.
The good fight of faith is the Believer’s responsibility to make divine realities visible on earth. It requires discipline in thought, speech, action, endurance, and wisdom. When these are in place, dominion becomes a lived experience, not just a promise.

Introduction: Understanding the Good Fight

Created to Reflect and Reveal

This is the original mandate from Genesis 1:26-27: humanity was created in the image and likeness of God. We are meant to be mirrors of His character and windows into His nature. Everything we have—our gifts, our resources, our influence—gains value when it leads others to God.
The Fight of Faith Defined
“The fight of faith is making what is finished in Christ real in our lives.”
This definition shifts the focus from striving to manifesting. Christ has already:
– Defeated sin (Colossians 2:14-15)
– Conquered death (1 Corinthians 15:54-57)

– Seated us in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6)
The fight is not to achieve these things; it is to bring them into visible, lived reality.

1. The Contention for the Accuracy of Thoughts, Ideas, and Belief Systems
The battlefield begins in the mind. What we believe shapes how we live. This aspect of the fight involves:
- Renewing the mind – Replacing worldly thought patterns with God’s truth (Romans 12:2)
- Taking thoughts captive – Refusing to entertain thoughts that contradict God’s Word (2 Corinthians 10:5)
- Testing ideas – Measuring every philosophy, every teaching, every counsel against Scripture
- Guarding belief systems – Ensuring that what we hold as truth is actually true
Application: Examine your thought patterns. What ideas have you accepted as truth that contradict God’s Word? Contend for accuracy.
2. The Labour of Establishing Spiritual Realities, Through Words, in Prayer
This is the aspect of faith that operates through declaration and prayer. Words have creative power. What we speak establishes what we believe.
- Confession, not just profession – Speaking God’s promises as reality
- Prayer as establishment – Not just asking but declaring what is already true in Christ
- Agreement with heaven – Aligning our words with God’s Word
- Consistency – Not occasional declarations but persistent confession
Application: What are you declaring over your life? Are your words establishing spiritual realities or reinforcing natural limitations?
3. The Labour and the Contention to Walk Consistently and Perpetually in Obedience
Obedience is not a one-time decision but a continuous walk. This aspect of the fight involves:
- Consistency – Not occasional obedience but habitual obedience
- Perpetuity – Not for a season but for a lifetime
- Intentionality – Deliberate choices to align actions with God’s will
- Perseverance – Continuing in obedience even when it is difficult
Application: Where have you been inconsistent in obedience? Where have you allowed compromise? The fight requires constant vigilance.
4. Contending Against Demonic Spirits and Satanic Infrastructures
This aspect acknowledges that there is genuine spiritual opposition. We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness (Ephesians 6:12).
- Spiritual warfare – Not against people but against demonic forces
- Dismantling infrastructures – Satanic systems, altars, and structures that oppose God’s purposes
- Authority in Christ – Exercising delegated authority
- Discernment – Recognizing the source of opposition
Application: Learn to discern spiritual attacks from natural challenges. Use your authority in Christ to contend against demonic forces.
5. The Patience and the Persistence of Faith
Faith is not always instant; it often requires endurance. This aspect involves:
- Patience – Waiting on God’s timing without giving up
- Persistence – Continuing to believe when circumstances contradict
- Endurance – Holding fast to confession without wavering
- Long-suffering – Maintaining faith through trials
Application: Do not give up. What you are believing for may require patience, but the reward comes to those who endure.
6. The Wisdom to Navigate the Complexities That Exist in the World of Men
Life is complex. Relationships, systems, cultures, and circumstances are not always straightforward. This aspect involves:
- Wisdom from above – Not worldly cunning but heavenly discernment
- Navigational skill – Knowing how to move through complex situations
- Strategic thinking – Applying wisdom to practical decisions
- Spiritual intelligence – Understanding both natural and spiritual dynamics
Application: Ask God for wisdom to navigate the complexities you face. He gives liberally to those who ask (James 1:5).
PART FOUR: THE RESULT – DOMINION BECOMES A LIVED EXPERIENCE
“When these are in place, dominion becomes a lived experience, not just a promise.”
Dominion is not something we wait for; it is something we walk in. When we:
– Contend for accurate thoughts
– Establish spiritual realities through words
– Walk in consistent obedience
– Contend against demonic forces
– Exercise patience and persistence
– Apply wisdom to complexities
Then dominion moves from promise to possession. It is no longer something we read about; it is something we live.

I DECLARE that I contend against demonic spirits and satanic infrastructures!
I DECLARE that I exercise the authority given to me in Christ!
I DECLARE that I have patience and persistence of faith!
I DECLARE that I do not give up; I endure to the end!
I DECLARE that I have wisdom to navigate the complexities of life!
I DECLARE that dominion is not just a promise but a lived experience in my life!
I DECLARE that I am disciplined in thought, speech, action, endurance, and wisdom!
PART SIX: PRAYER
Father, I thank You for the revelation of the good fight of faith. I thank You that I am not fighting for victory but from victory. Christ has already won.
Lord, help me to contend for the accuracy of my thoughts. Let every idea that is not from You be exposed and replaced with Your truth. Renew my mind daily by Your Word.
Teach me to establish spiritual realities through my words and prayer. Let my confession align with Your promises. Let my declarations establish Your purposes.
Give me grace to walk consistently in obedience. Let me not be swayed by convenience or circumstance. Let obedience be my lifestyle.
Grant me authority to contend against demonic spirits and satanic infrastructures. Let me exercise the power You have given me.
Give me patience and persistence of faith. Let me not grow weary in well-doing. Let me endure until I see the manifestation.
Give me wisdom to navigate the complexities of life. Let me not be confused by the world’s systems but guided by Your Spirit.
Let dominion become a lived experience in my life. Not just a promise, but a reality.
