AM STUBBORN TO QUITTING! MY NAME IS DETERMINATION THIS YEAR!
BASIC SCRIPTURE: LUKE 18: 1-9
Welcome to another day in this worldwide fasting programme! The word “determination means different things to different people at different stages of life.
IF YOU ARE TO GO FAR IN LIFE AND MINISTRY, YOU MUST GROW YOUR “DETERMINATION ANTENNAE” AND BE A PERSON THAT THE WORLD DESCRIBES AS HAVIING A “BULL DOG-NO-NONSENSE-NEVER-QUITTING FAITH!” LET THEM CALL YOU A “HOLD ON AND HOLD OUT” PERSON!
Today’s Scripture talks about how a widow went before a judge who didn’t fear God or man. She pleaded with the judge to right a wrong done to her by her adversary. She continually pleaded with him to do so. After a while, he “surrendered” and even though he didn’t fear God or man, he avenged her wrongdoing. She was determined!
REFUSE TO GIVE UP in this fasting programme or in the JULY fasting programme! Be like this woman! Paul was imprisoned repeatedly; Flogged, Exposed to death again and again, received 39 lashes five times, Beaten with rods three times, Pelted with stones, Shipwrecked three times, etc and YET HE REFUSED TO DISTRUST HIS GOD!
You must hold on because in the DIVINE SURPRISE UNIVERSITY, you don’t know when your CHANCELLOR (your God) will show up! A Japanese proverb says: “Fall seven times, stand up eight.”ALWAYS REMEMBER that the greatest oak was once a little nut who held its ground.
Vince Lombardi once said: “There’s only one way to succeed in anything, and that is to give it everything.” Hear Henry Wadsworth Longfellow: “If you would hit the mark, you must aim a little above it; every arrow that flies feels the attraction of earth.” wow! No matter the matter, be like a bulldog! Hold on! Hold out!
