Welcome! After an elderly man injured his eye so severely that it had to be surgically removed, doctors and nurses commented on how well he accepted the loss. His response was indeed exceptional. The doctor said, “Throughout the ordeal I never heard him complain.” After the accident, someone asked his son, “Why would God allow this to happen? What does your dad have to learn at his age?” The elderly man did not in any way blame God for his ordeal. The Holy Ghost wants you to know that in every challenge or adversity, there is always something you can learn! God in His wisdom may pass you through a situation where He makes you both the teacher and the student! Ask Job! At the height of Job’s suffering, his wife urged him to, “curse God and die” (See vs. 9 of our basic scripture). Job replied, “Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” Job didn’t understand the reason for his suffering, yet he affirmed his steadfast belief in a God who had the right to allow trouble in our lives as well as good. That means sometimes, God will allow you go through a situation or pain without putting you on notice or letting you know the reason. But one thing is sure, ALL THINGS shall work together for your ultimate good (Romans 8:28). Ernest Hemingway quipped, “The world breaks everyone, and afterward, some are strong at the broken places.” Hear this: “A smooth sea never made a skilful mariner.” Hold on and Hold out!
