Pastor E.A. Adeboye (Daddy G.O.)

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, affectionately called Daddy G.O., was born on 2nd March 1942 in Ifewara, Osun State, Nigeria, into a humble family. He walked barefoot until age 17 due to poverty but excelled academically, earning a Bachelor’s in Mathematics from the University of Nigeria, a Master’s, and a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Lagos. He lectured at the Universities of Lagos and Ilorin before fully committing to ministry.

He joined The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in 1973 and became General Overseer in 1981. Under his leadership, RCCG has grown from a small Nigerian denomination to a global ministry with millions of members across continents.
