24. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

25. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

26. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

27. Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.

28. Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, I receive grace to reckon myself dead indeed unto sin today — not by feeling, but by faith in Your Word. (Romans 6:11)

2. Lord, let the reality of being alive unto God through Jesus Christ dominate every area of my life — my thoughts, words, and actions. (Romans 6:11)

3. Father, help me to die like a corn of wheat. Kill every seed of pride, selfish ambition, and self-preservation in me. (John 12:24)

4. Lord, I do not want to abide alone. Let my death bring forth much fruit for Your kingdom. (John 12:24)

5. Father, give me the grace to hate my life in this world — to let go of comfort, reputation, and control — so I can keep it unto life eternal. (John 12:25)

6. Lord, let me serve You without condition. Where You are, let me be. Let me follow You even when the path leads to the cross. (John 12:26)

DECLARATIONS

1. I declare that I am dead indeed unto sin. Sin has no more dominion over me. I am crucified with Christ.

2. I am alive unto God through Jesus Christ my Lord. Every breath I breathe is for His glory.

3. I am a corn of wheat that has fallen into the ground and died. I refuse to abide alone. I shall bring forth much fruit.

4. I do not love my life in this world. I lose it gladly, so I may keep it unto life eternal.

5. I serve Jesus Christ. I follow Him wherever He goes. Where He is, there shall His servant be.

6. The Father honours me because I serve the Son. I walk in divine honour and favour.

7. Even when my soul is troubled, my mouth shall declare: “Father, glorify Thy name.”

8. The voice of heaven speaks over me today: “I have glorified My name in you, and I will glorify it again.”

The Principle of Death Before Fruitfulness:

• Romans 6:11 speaks of death to sin.

• He could have prayed, “Father, save me from this hour.”

• Instead, He prayed, “Father, glorify Thy name.”
