ADDITIONAL REFLECTION — SUNDAY, 8TH NOVEMBER 2026

Key Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6 — “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Forget Not My Law (Verse 1):

Solomon speaks to his son. He gives him a command. Forget not my law. Do not forget. Do not neglect. Do not ignore. Do not abandon. Do not discard. Do not set aside. Remember my law. Keep my law. Cherish my law. Treasure my law. And let thine heart keep my commandments. Not just your mind. Not just your memory. Not just your intellect. Your heart. Your heart must keep them. Your heart must treasure them. Your heart must obey them. The commandments must be written on your heart. They must be engraved on your affections. They must be inscribed on your desires. They must be embedded in your will.

Length of Days, Long Life, and Peace (Verse 2):

The promise is clear. For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. Obedience to God’s law brings blessings. It brings length of days. It brings long life. It brings peace. Peace with God. Peace with others. Peace within. Peace in your home. Peace in your heart. Peace in your circumstances. These are the rewards of obedience. These are the benefits of keeping God’s commandments. They are added to you. They are given to you. They are granted to you. They are bestowed on you.

Mercy and Truth (Verses 3-4):

Solomon gives another command. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee. Mercy is kindness. Mercy is compassion. Mercy is forgiveness. Mercy is love. Truth is honesty. Truth is integrity. Truth is faithfulness. Truth is reliability. Mercy and truth must not forsake you. They must not leave you. They must not abandon you. They must not depart from you. Bind them about thy neck. Wear them like a necklace. Display them like a ornament. Let them be visible. Let them be evident. Write them upon the table of thine heart. Engrave them on your heart. Inscribe them on your affections. Embed them in your desires. And the promise is favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Favour with God. Favour with man. Good understanding with God. Good understanding with man.

Trust in the LORD (Verse 5):

This is the key verse. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart. Trust. Depend. Rely. Believe. Have confidence. Have faith. Have hope. Trust in the Lord. Not in yourself. Not in your abilities. Not in your resources. Not in your connections. Not in your circumstances. Trust in the Lord. With all thine heart. Not with part of your heart. Not with a portion of your heart. Not with a fraction of your heart. With all your heart. With your whole heart. With your entire heart. With your complete heart. And lean not unto thine own understanding. Do not lean on your own understanding. Do not rely on your own intellect. Do not depend on your own reasoning. Do not trust in your own wisdom. Your understanding is limited. Your understanding is flawed. Your understanding is imperfect. Your understanding is finite. God’s understanding is infinite. God’s understanding is perfect. God’s understanding is flawless. Trust His understanding. Not yours.

In All Thy Ways Acknowledge Him (Verse 6):

In all thy ways. Not in some ways. Not in a few ways. Not in the easy ways. Not in the convenient ways. In all your ways. Acknowledge Him. Recognize Him. Honour Him. Worship Him. Seek Him. Consult Him. Include Him. Involve Him. In your decisions. In your plans. In your choices. In your relationships. In your career. In your finances. In your family. In your ministry. In every area. In every aspect. In every dimension. Acknowledge Him. And He shall direct thy paths. He shall guide you. He shall lead you. He shall show you the way. He shall make your path straight. He shall order your steps. He shall direct your course.

The Lesson for Us:

Do not forget God’s law. Keep His commandments. Let them be written on your heart. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him. And He will direct your paths. This is the formula for a blessed life. This is the secret of a successful life. This is the path of a peaceful life. Trust God. Acknowledge God. Obey God. And He will direct your paths. He will make them straight. He will make them clear. He will make them prosperous. He will make them fruitful. He will make them blessed.

Question for the Day — Sunday, 8th November 2026:

Do you trust in the Lord with all your heart? Do you lean on your own understanding? Do you acknowledge Him in all your ways? Trust Him. Acknowledge Him. And He will direct your paths.
