BASIC SCRIPTURE 6th November 2026 BIBLE READING PRAYER POINTS AND DECLARATIONS

BASIC SCRIPTURE: MATTHEW 15: 21-28
BASIC SCRIPTURE: FRIDAY, 6TH NOVEMBER 2026 — MATTHEW 15:21-28 (KJV)
-
Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
-
And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
-
But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
-
But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
-
Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
-
But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.
-
And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.
-
Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

PRAYER POINTS — FRIDAY, 6TH NOVEMBER 2026
-
Father, give me the persistence of the Canaanite woman. Let me not give up when the answer delays.
-
Lord, when You seem silent, let me keep crying out to You. Let me not interpret Your silence as rejection.
-
Father, let me worship You even when I am hurting. Let me bow before You even when my situation is desperate.
-
Lord, give me a humble heart. Let me not be offended by Your dealings with me.
-
Father, let me be like this woman who would not be turned away. Let my faith refuse to accept no for an answer.
-
Lord, let my faith be great. Let it move You. Let it receive the miracle I need.
-
Father, let my persistence be rewarded. Let my cry for mercy be answered speedily.
-
Lord, let my daughter, my son, my family be made whole. Let deliverance come from this very hour.

ADDITIONAL REFLECTION — FRIDAY, 6TH NOVEMBER 2026
Key Verse: Matthew 15:28 — “Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.”
The Canaanite Woman (Verse 22):
A woman of Canaan came to Jesus. She was a Gentile. She was an outsider. She was not part of the house of Israel. She was not part of the covenant. She was not part of the promise. But she came. She cried. She pleaded. She begged. She said, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.” She recognized Jesus as Lord. She recognized Him as the Son of David. She recognized His authority. She recognized His power. And she came to Him for mercy. She came to Him for help. She came to Him for deliverance. Not for herself. For her daughter. For her child. For her family.
The Silence of Jesus (Verse 23):
Jesus did not answer her. He did not respond. He did not speak. He was silent. The silence must have been painful. The silence must have been confusing. The silence must have been discouraging. She had come in faith. She had come in hope. She had come in desperation. And Jesus said nothing. But she did not give up. She kept crying. She kept pleading. She kept asking. And even the disciples were irritated. They said, “Send her away; for she crieth after us.” They wanted her gone. They wanted her silenced. They wanted her dismissed.
The First Refusal (Verse 24):
Jesus finally spoke. He said, “I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” He was not sent to the Gentiles. He was not sent to the Canaanites. He was not sent to the outsiders. He was sent to the lost sheep of Israel. This was a refusal. This was a rejection. This was a boundary. But the woman did not leave. She did not turn back. She did not give up.
The Worship (Verse 25):
She came closer. She worshipped Him. She said, “Lord, help me.” She did not argue. She did not debate. She did not complain. She worshipped. She bowed before Him. She honoured Him. She exalted Him. She worshipped Him in her pain. She worshipped Him in her desperation. She worshipped Him in her need. And she asked again. “Lord, help me.”
The Second Refusal (Verse 26):
Jesus spoke again. He said, “It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.” This seems harsh. This seems offensive. This seems unkind. But it was a test. It was a challenge. It was an opportunity. It was an opportunity for her faith to shine. It was an opportunity for her faith to be revealed. It was an opportunity for her faith to be rewarded. She did not take offense. She did not walk away. She did not give up. She did not lose her faith. She did not lose her hope. She did not lose her persistence.
Her Great Faith (Verse 27):
She answered Jesus. She said, “Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” She acknowledged the truth. She acknowledged the place. She acknowledged the boundary. But she also believed that there was more than enough. She believed that there was even more than enough in the crumbs. She believed that even the leftovers of the children were enough to heal her daughter. She believed that even the smallest portion of grace was enough for her miracle. She believed that even the minimal portion of mercy was enough for her deliverance. And she said, “Yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” She was not asking for the whole bread. She was asking for the crumbs. She was not asking for the full portion. She was asking for the leftover. She was not asking for the best. She was asking for the least. And she believed that the least was more than enough.
The Miracle (Verse 28):
Jesus answered her. He said, “O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt.” He commended her faith. He praised her faith. He rewarded her faith. He honoured her faith. He gave her what she asked for. He gave her what she believed for. He gave her what she needed. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour. Not from the next day. Not from the next week. Not from the next month. But from that very hour. Her persistence was rewarded. Her faith was rewarded. Her worship was rewarded. Her humility was rewarded. Her daughter was healed. Her daughter was made whole. Her daughter was delivered. Her daughter was set free.
The Lesson for Us:
Do not give up. Do not be discouraged. Do not be moved by the silence of God. Do not be offended by the dealings of God. Do not be turned away by the refusals of God. Persist. Keep crying out. Keep pleading. Keep asking. Keep seeking. Keep knocking. Keep worshiping. Keep bowing. Keep believing. Keep trusting. Keep hoping. Because God rewards persistence. God rewards faith. God rewards humility. God rewards worship. God rewards those who refuse to give up. God rewards those who believe that He is more than enough. And He will give you what you need. He will heal your daughter. He will save your son. He will deliver your family. He will restore your situation. He will answer your prayer. He will give you your miracle. From this very hour.
Question for the Day — Friday, 6th November 2026:
Are you facing a situation that seems hopeless? Are you crying out to God and hearing only silence? Do not give up. Do not be discouraged. Do not be offended. Persist in prayer. Persist in faith. Persist in worship. Persist in humility. Your persistence will be rewarded. Your faith will be rewarded. Your daughter will be made whole. Your miracle will come from this very hour.
