YESTERDAY: Our Daily Manna 23 September 2022 HE CURSED DAVID WITH HIS GODS! ALTAR VERSUS ALTAR BATTLES
Even the worst war comes to an end! Sometimes, as in 1945 (end of World War 11), the only outcome is a fight to the death. Mostly, wars end in a deal which doesn’t satisfy anyone entirely, but at least brings the bloodshed to an end. And often, even after the worst and most bitter conflicts, the two sides gradually resume their old, less hostile relationship. That could also be the case in the Russia-Ukraine war. The resentment, particularly on the Ukrainian side, will last for decades. But both sides want and need peace: Ukraine, because its towns and cities have taken a terrible battering, and Russia, because it has already, according to the Ukrainian president, sacrificed more men and material than it lost in its two shockingly violent wars in Chechnya – although that is impossible to verify. But no-one willingly signs a peace agreement which is likely to lead to their own downfall. And what the Holy Ghost is saying to a user of today’s devotional is this: LET THAT WAR, QUARREL, UNFORGIVENESS, RESENTMENT, BITTERNESS, etc, come to an end. Forgive somebody in your heart even if you have to avoid them later! 2 Samuel 3:1 says: “Now there was long war between the house of Saul and the house of David: but David waxed stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul waxed weaker and weaker.” Despite that LONG WAR, it came an end. Don’t Fight/Quarrel/Keep Malice To Your Grave! Even the worst of wars like WORLD WARS, have an end. Daily Manna 24 September 2022
