Welcome to today’s devotional hour! A man told his engineers one day, “Give me a V8 engine.” He was intelligent enough to know that there had to be a V8 engine, but he did not know how to build one. Al1 he had was the idea, the dream! This man did not go to school beyond the age of 14. According to his team of engineers, a V8 engine was an impossibility! Wow! They commended his idea, drew diagrams and sketches of what could be done, but they insisted a V8 engine was impossible! This man refused to give up! He knew that what the mind can conceive, the man can achieve! He knew that the word, “impossible” is only found in the dictionary of fools! He knew that, where there is a will, there must be a way! He knew that a delay is not a denial! He knew that you can turn a disappointment into an appointment with your destiny! Halleluiah! So after many months, he persisted and demanded from the engineers again: “I want my V8.” Do you know that the V8 engine, which is the backbone of today’s motorcar, was produced shortly after that by the same people who said it could not be done? That dogged visionary was Mr. Henry Ford, a man who knew where he was going and defied all obstacles to get there! In 2026, God wants you to stubbornly hold on to your life’s goals despite the demonic, discouraging, daily circumstances! It was James Conant who wrote, “The turtle makes progress only when it sticks out its neck.” You can read of Caleb today because despite all the negative people and problems around him, for forty years, he refused to stop seeing where he was going! He was asking for a mountain (a difficult terrain) when majority were looking for the valleys! His God is your God and trusting Him will cause your history to change!
