Joshua 14:6-15 (KJV)

⁶ Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that the Lord said unto Moses the man of God concerning me and thee in Kadeshbarnea.

⁷ Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadeshbarnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart.

⁸ Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the Lord my God.

⁹ And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children’s for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the Lord my God.

¹⁰ And now, behold, the Lord hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the Lord spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.

¹¹ As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.

¹² Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the Lord spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the Lord will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the Lord said.

¹³ And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh Hebron for an inheritance.

¹⁴ Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the Lord God of Israel.

Claiming Your Mountain at Any Age. Caleb’s story is one of patient faithfulness rewarded with bold faith. At 85, after 45 years of waiting, he reminds Joshua of God’s promise and boldly demands his mountain—Hebron, occupied by giants (Anakim). The keys: He wholly followed the Lord (v. 8, 14), retained supernatural strength (v. 11), and possessed unwavering confidence in God’s partnership (“if so be the Lord will be with me,” v. 12). The lesson: God’s promises are ageless; your faithful waiting season empowers your bold claiming season.

PRAYER POINTS & DECLARATIONS:

1. PRAYER FOR THE SPIRIT OF “WHOLLY FOLLOWING” GOD
   “Father, give me Caleb’s spirit—to wholly follow You regardless of popular opinion or discouraging reports. Let my heart be fully Yours in every season.”
   DECLARATION: I wholly follow the Lord my God. My heart is fully committed to Him, not swayed by the majority.

2. PRAYER FOR DIVINE PRESERVATION THROUGH WAITING SEASONS
   “Lord, You kept Caleb alive and strong for 45 years until his promise matured. Preserve me, my health, my faith, and my family through every waiting period until I possess my promise.”
   DECLARATION: God keeps me alive and strong to see His promises fulfilled. My waiting season is not wasting season.

3. PRAYER FOR RENEWED STRENGTH BEYOND NATURAL AGE
   “Renew my strength like Caleb’s! At 85, he was as strong as at 40. I receive supernatural vitality—spiritual, physical, and mental—to war and possess my inheritance.”
   DECLARATION: My strength is renewed like the eagle’s. I am as strong now for spiritual warfare as ever before.

4. PRAYER TO BOLDLY DEMAND YOUR PROMISED “MOUNTAIN”
   “I come before You like Caleb before Joshua: ‘Give me this mountain!’ I boldly claim every promise You spoke over my life, family, and destiny.”
   DECLARATION: I demand my mountain today! I claim every inheritance God swore to me. It is mine by promise.

5. PRAYER FOR VICTORY OVER GIANTS (ANAKIMS)
   “The giants on my mountain—financial Anakims, health Anakims, relational Anakims—are not stronger than my God. I drive them out because the Lord is with me.”
   DECLARATION: Every giant occupying my promised land is evicted today. I am well able to possess my inheritance.

6. PRAYER FOR THE BLESSING OF AUTHORITY (JOSHUA’S BLESSING)
   “Release the blessing of spiritual authority over my life, as Joshua blessed Caleb. Let doors of inheritance open to me by divine decree.”
   DECLARATION: I receive the blessing of my spiritual authorities. My claim is recognized and sanctioned in heaven and on earth.

7. PRAYER TO TRANSFORM “KIRJATH-ARBA” TO “HEBRON” (FELLOWSHIP)
   “Turn my place of giants (‘Kirjath-arba’) into my place of fellowship and abundance (‘Hebron’). Let my greatest battle ground become my place of rest and intimacy with You.”
   DECLARATION: My battlefield is becoming my place of divine fellowship. Where giants ruled, I now rest in God’s presence.

“Today, I wholly follow the Lord! I am strong in Him at any age. I boldly demand my mountain and drive out every giant, for the Lord is with me. My waiting is over; my possessing has begun!”
