TOPIC: BEWARE! SATAN HAS NO HORNS

BASIC SCRIPTURE 18th JUNE 2026 BIBLE READING

Tucker Max said, “The devil doesn’t come dressed in a red cap and pointy horns. He comes as everything you’ve ever wished for.” Did you get that? SATAN CAN COME AS AN ANGEL OF LIGHT! He can come as a singing archangel! Yes! He can come as a prayer warrior in order to capture your holy fire! But in the end, he takes everything you ever worked for! In the previous devotion, we saw how a leopard, in trying to capture a prey, fell into a trap. That leopard had its eyes on the pleasure of his stomach, but once he fell into the trap, he realised that the pleasure he saw was not as important as the pleasure of freedom. It is a sad thing to see people chasing things that are of the devil and are temporary, only to begin to regret their actions when they fall into the trap of the devil. The devil once tempted Jesus with the same “dog.” He came to Jesus telling him to turn stone into bread. Of course, that was supposed to be a very pleasurable thing for a very hungry Man who had been starved for more than one month. But Jesus knew that it was a, “dog” the devil was trying to use to lure Him into a wilderness prison. The Bible records that, “But He answered, ‘It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God” – Matthew 4:4 (ESV). Ah! The devil knows you want success; he knows even more the fact that our hearts are susceptible to the pull of immediate gratification, shortcuts, hurry for miracles in this microwave/instagram age! Yet, Jesus’ response to the devil’s temptations reveals a profound truth: True sustenance and fulfilment come not from the temporal pleasures of this world, but from deeper nourishment found in the eternal truths of God’s Word. Hallelujah!

2. I shall not chase after what will lead me to my captivity in
   Jesus name (Pray it seriously).
3. 1 Cor. 10: 13a – “There hath no temptation taken you but such
   as is common to man…” Nothing is NEW! Lord, I shall not
   fail where someone has overcome before! So help me God.
4. God will make a way of ESCAPE for my destiny!
