TOPIC: GOD IS WAITING FOR A FUNERAL – 1

BASIC SCRIPTURE 22 MAY 2026 BIBLE READING

The Lord is saying to someone, “While you are praying for a breakthrough, I am waiting for a funeral (death to self).” He is saying, the OLD MAN (the SINFUL NATURE AND CHARACTER) in you has to die before the NEW MAN can rise! You do not need another prophetic word while you still pamper the corpse of who you used to be. The LORD is saying to someone, “I am not patching up the old wineskin; I am looking for a grave to roll the stone away from. Stop negotiating for a better version of the dead. I didn’t hang on a cross to renovate your rebellion; I died to terminate it.” “Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires” (Galatians 5:24). This verse is not a suggestion! It is a past-tense declaration of war. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Have crucified – not “are trying to crucify,” not “will one day crucify,” but “HAVE CRUCIFIED.” No wonder today’s scripture, Romans 6:6 thunders, “For we know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.” You cannot walk in the authority of the new man while entertaining the habits, mindset, and attitudes of the old man. J.C. Ryle noted: “There is no shortcut to holiness; it must be the business of our whole lives.” In 2026, allow your old self to die! Arise and cry out now: “SIN SHALL NOT HAVE DOMINION OVER ME!” (To be continued tomorrow…).

3. Every secret indulgence, quiet rebellion, and comfort
   zone keeping the old man alive, I cut you by the sword
   of the spirit! Perish forever!
