Today’s scripture talks of a man that was by the pool of Bethesda for 38 years awaiting his miracle of healing. Once a year, an angel stepped in to trouble the water and the first sick person to get in, was healed. His peculiar situation ensured that somebody always got in ahead of him. Many writers and preachers have criticized him for being there for so long. I think we should give him kudos for refusing to give up! Yes, he refused to THROW IN THE TOWEL! He refused to give up, though he had “failed” year in year out and though he had suffered delay for 38 years. Some of his sick folk probably left that poolside after the first or second year. They gave up too soon, but this man was determined not to leave unhealed. I believe Jesus went there because of him. He saw his faith and resilience, a never-give-up attitude. No wonder heaven announced him at last! Some announcements always come after a season of pain! When Jesus arrived, He told him (paraphrased): “You need’nt wait for an angel anymore, take up your bed and go home. You are healed.” We need people that will refuse to give up, insisting on God’s plan for them, in spite of Satan’s attempts to frustrate it. They tell the devil, “You won’t stop me.    name (Pray it seriously for 3 nights).
5. Pray yesterday’s prayers and any other prayer as led.
6. Pray for me today and cancel any arrow of distraction now.

   scatter their counsel.
