BASIC SCRIPTURE: JOEL 2:21-29

BASIC SCRIPTURE: JOEL 2:21-29 (KJV)

21. Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things.

22. Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.

23. Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

24. And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil.

25. And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

26. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

27. And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

28. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

29. And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, I receive Your word: “Fear not.” Let every fear in my heart be silenced. I choose to be glad and rejoice, for You will do great things. (Joel 2:21)

2. Lord, let my wilderness spring forth. Let my tree bear fruit. Let my fig tree and vine yield their strength. (Joel 2:22)

3. Father, give me the former rain and the latter rain in its season. Let there be no drought in my spiritual life. (Joel 2:23)

4. Lord, let my floors be full of wheat. Let my fats overflow with wine and oil. Let there be abundance in every area of my life. (Joel 2:24)

5. Father, I ask for restoration. Restore to me the years that the locust hath eaten — every wasted year, every lost opportunity, every stolen blessing. (Joel 2:25)

6. Lord, let me eat in plenty and be satisfied. Let me praise Your name for dealing wondrously with me. Let me never be ashamed. (Joel 2:26)

7. Father, pour out Your Spirit upon me afresh. Let my sons and daughters prophesy. Let me see visions and dream dreams. (Joel 2:28)

8. Lord, let even the servants and handmaids receive Your Spirit in these days. Let there be no discrimination in the outpouring of Your Spirit upon my household. (Joel 2:29)

DECLARATIONS

1. I declare that I will not fear. The Lord will do great things in my life. I am glad and I rejoice.

2. My wilderness is springing forth. My tree bears fruit. My vine yields its strength.

3. The Lord has given me the former rain and the latter rain. I am not dry. I am not barren.

4. My floors are full of wheat. My fats overflow with wine and oil. Abundance is my portion.

5. The Lord restores to me the years that the locust hath eaten. Nothing is lost forever. Restoration is here.

6. I eat in plenty and am satisfied. I praise the name of the Lord who has dealt wondrously with me. I shall never be ashamed.

7. The Lord is in my midst. He is my God, and none else. I shall never be ashamed.

8. The Spirit of the Lord is poured out upon me. I prophesy. I dream dreams. I see visions. The Spirit is upon me.

Key Verse: Joel 2:25 — “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.”

God promises both. Not just a good start, but a good finish.

The Promise of “Never Be Ashamed” (Three times in context):

• Verse 26: “My people shall never be ashamed” — after restoration.

• Verse 27: “My people shall never be ashamed” — after knowing He is God.

• The repetition means God wants you fully convinced: shame is not your final chapter.

The Outpouring (Verses 28-29):

• This is the prophecy Peter quoted at Pentecost (Acts 2:17-18).

• Not just for prophets or priests — for sons, daughters, old men, young men, servants, handmaids.

• No exclusion. No hierarchy. The Spirit is for all.
