BASIC SCRIPTURE: ISAIAH 40:25-31 (KJV)

To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.

Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.

Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God?

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

PRAYER POINTS

Father, open my eyes to see who You truly are — the Holy One, the Creator, the One to whom none can be compared. Let every lesser god in my life be dethroned.

Lord, I lift up my eyes on high. I behold the heavens and the stars You have created. Let the greatness of Your might fill me with awe and trust.

Father, forgive me for every time I have said, “My way is hid from the LORD.” I repent of thinking You have forgotten me or passed over my judgment.

Lord, I receive the revelation that You are the everlasting God — the Creator of the ends of the earth. You do not faint, and You are not weary. Your understanding is unsearchable.

Father, I come to You as one who is faint. I come as one who has no might. Give me power. Increase my strength.

DECLARATIONS

ADDITIONAL REFLECTION
Key Verse: Isaiah 40:31 — “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
The Unsearchable God:
Verses 25-28 declare the incomparable greatness of God. He is the Holy One. He created the stars and calls them all by name. He is strong in power — not one star fails to appear. He is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint. He is not weary. His understanding is unsearchable. Yet Israel complained, “My way is hid from the LORD.” They thought God had forgotten them. They thought He was not paying attention. But the problem was not God’s inability to see. The problem was Israel’s inability to trust.
The Question God Asks:
“Why sayest thou, O Jacob… My way is hid from the LORD?” God is not hiding. He is not asleep. He is not distracted. He is the Creator who calls stars by name. He knows your name too. He sees your way. He has not passed over your judgment. The question is not whether God sees. The question is whether you believe He sees.
The Faint and the Mighty:
Verse 30 gives a surprising truth: “Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall.” Youth is not a guarantee of strength. The strongest will eventually fail. The most energetic will eventually tire. Human strength has a limit. But God’s strength has no limit. And He gives that unlimited strength to those who have none.
The Contrast:
Youths faint. Young men fall. But those who wait upon the LORD renew their strength. The strength of the world fades. The strength of God renews. The world’s strength is for the young. God’s strength is for the waiting.
What It Means to Wait:
Waiting on the Lord is not passive. It is active trust. It is not sitting around doing nothing. It is standing in faith while God works. It is refusing to run ahead of Him. It is trusting His timing when everything in you wants to rush. It is saying, “I will not take matters into my own hands. I will wait for You.”
The Three Promises of Waiting:
First, they shall mount up with wings as eagles. The eagle does not struggle to rise. It rides the thermal currents. Waiting on God lifts you above the storm. You do not fight your way up. You are carried up.
Second, they shall run and not be weary. Running requires energy. But God supplies the energy. You can keep going because He keeps giving. The race is long, but His strength is endless.
Third, they shall walk and not faint. Not everyone runs. Some walk. Some are in a slower season. But even in the walk, there is strength. Even in the ordinary days, you will not faint.
Question for the Day:
Are you fainting? Are you weary? Have you been running on your own strength? Stop. Wait. Let Him renew your strength. He who calls the stars by name knows your name. He who never faints will give you strength to rise, to run, and to walk — without fainting.
