BASIC SCRIPTURE: Prayers and Declarations May 11 2025

BASIC SCRIPTURES (KJV):
MARK 10:13-16
13 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
1 SAMUEL 3:1-21
1 And the child Samuel ministered unto the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was precious in those days; there was no open vision.
2 And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see;
3 And the lamp of God went not out in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep.
4 And the Lord called Samuel: and he answered, Here I am.
5 And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here I am; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down.
6 And the Lord called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here I am; for thou calledst me. And he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again.
7 Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, neither was the word of the Lord yet revealed unto him.
8 And the Lord called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here I am; for thou calledst me. And Eli perceived that the Lord had called the child.
9 Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
10 And the Lord came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.
11 And the Lord said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle.
12 In that day I will perform against Eli all things which I have spoken concerning his house: when I begin, I will also make an end.
13 For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not.
14 And therefore I have sworn unto the house of Eli, that the iniquity of Eli’s house shall not be purged with sacrifice nor offering for ever.
15 And Samuel lay until the morning, and opened the doors of the house of the Lord. And Samuel feared to shew Eli the vision.
16 Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. And he answered, Here I am.
17 And he said, What is the thing that the Lord hath said unto thee? I pray thee hide it not from me: God do so to thee, and more also, if thou hide any thing from me of all the things that he said unto thee.
18 And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the Lord: let him do what seemeth him good.
19 And Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.
20 And all Israel from Dan even to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the Lord.
21 And the Lord appeared again in Shiloh: for the Lord revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the Lord.
PRAYERS FOR MAY 11, 2025:
- Prayer for Childlike Faith and Kingdom Access
Lord Jesus, You welcomed children as a model of faith, saying, “Of such is the kingdom of God” (Mark 10:14). Today, I repent of pride, self-reliance, and overcomplication in my walk with You. Teach me to receive Your grace with the simplicity and trust of a child. Help me to depend entirely on Your mercy, not my achievements. As You blessed the little ones, pour out Your favor on children, youth, and all who minister to them. Equip Your Church to nurture the next generation in Your truth, never hindering their access to Your love. Let our homes, churches, and communities reflect Your heart for the vulnerable. In Jesus’ name, Amen. - Prayer for Hearing and Responding to God’s Voice
Heavenly Father, just as You called Samuel in the night (1 Samuel 3:4-10), speak to my heart today. Open my spiritual ears to discern Your voice amid distractions, doubts, or noise. When You call, let me respond with Samuel’s humility: “Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth.” Purify my motives, silence my fears, and align my will with Yours. Equip me to listen for Your direction in Scripture, prayer, and the counsel of the godly. May my life be marked by obedience, even when Your words are hard, like the judgment You declared to Eli (1 Samuel 3:11-14). Strengthen my courage to share Your truth, knowing You will establish every word (v. 19). In Christ’s name, Amen. - Prayer for Raising a Generation of Prophets
Lord of Revival, just as Samuel grew to become a prophet “established” by You (1 Samuel 3:20), raise up young leaders who will speak Your Word with boldness and integrity. Protect them from the corruption of Eli’s house (v. 13) and equip mentors to guide them in holiness. Stir parents, pastors, and teachers to model faithfulness and disciple the next generation. Let our children rise with clarity, purpose, and an unshakable hunger for Your presence. Break cycles of compromise and awaken a hunger for purity, justice, and Your glory. Let Shiloh’s revival (v. 21) ignite in every nation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
DAILY DECLARATION (May 11, 2025):
- I receive the Kingdom of God with childlike faith.
Mark 10:15 declares, “Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.” Today, I reject self-sufficiency and embrace dependence on Christ. I trust His grace, not my performance. Like a child running to a loving parent, I run to Jesus for forgiveness, guidance, and joy. My salvation is a gift, not a reward for effort. I rest in His promise that the Kingdom belongs to those who humbly surrender to Him. - I welcome others into God’s presence without barriers.
Jesus rebuked His disciples for hindering children from coming to Him (Mark 10:13-14). Today, I declare that I will never be a gatekeeper of God’s love. Whether through judgmental attitudes, exclusion, or indifference, I reject anything that blocks others from experiencing Christ. I will create space for the broken, the curious, and the marginalized to encounter His grace. My life is a bridge, not a wall—a reflection of His open arms. - I am called to hear and obey God’s voice.
Like Samuel, who responded, “Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth” (1 Samuel 3:10), I declare my readiness to listen. I silence distractions, turn from worldly noise, and attune my heart to Scripture, prayer, and the Holy Spirit. Even when God’s message is challenging—like the warning to Eli (1 Samuel 3:11-14)—I will not harden my heart. I trust that His words are life, correction, and purpose. I am not too young, too old, or too broken to hear Him. - I am a vessel for divine revelation.
1 Samuel 3:19 promises, “The Lord was with [Samuel], and did let none of his words fall to the ground.” Today, I declare that my life will carry God’s truth with power. Whether through words, actions, or intercession, I will proclaim His will. I reject passivity and half-heartedness; instead, I partner with the Holy Spirit to speak life, wisdom, and conviction. Let my testimony shake nations and awaken hearts, just as Samuel’s prophecies transformed Israel. - I trust God to raise a godly generation.
The corruption of Eli’s house (1 Samuel 3:13) reminds me of the stakes of spiritual leadership. Today, I commit to raising children, mentoring youth, and supporting families in the fear of the Lord. I declare that the next generation will not be defined by compromise but by covenant loyalty. God will raise “prophets” like Samuel—youth who walk in integrity, hear His voice, and lead with courage. I will not grow weary in training them to “know the Lord” (Jeremiah 1:5). - I walk in the authority of God’s presence.
Mark 10:16 says Jesus “took [the children] up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.” Today, I receive that same blessing. I declare that I walk under the shadow of the Almighty, empowered to bless others. No curse, fear, or generational trauma can withstand the touch of Christ. I am marked by His favor, healed by His sacrifice, and sent forth in His name. Every enemy will see His glory manifested through me. - I am established by God’s faithfulness.
1 Samuel 3:20 declares, “All Israel… knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet.” Today, I proclaim that my purpose is secured by God’s calling, not human validation. Even when I feel obscure or unqualified, I trust that He is building my character and preparing me for His timing. Like Samuel, I will remain faithful in small things until He opens doors only He can. My identity is hidden in Christ, and His resurrection power guarantees my destiny. - I declare revival in my generation.
The Lord “revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the Lord” (1 Samuel 3:21). Today, I cry out for fresh waves of revival. Let Shiloh’s awakening ignite in churches, schools, and communities. Break chains of apathy, idolatry, and division. Raise up worshipers who hunger for Your presence above all else. Let my life be a spark in this fire—bold, unashamed, and surrendered to Your Kingdom. The world will know that “the Lord is here!” (Exodus 33:14).
