Service Details

Koinonia Abuja is a weekly apostolic and prophetic gathering where believers experience the Word, Worship, Miracles, and Love of God . The ministry was launched in Abuja on February 28th, 2021, by Apostle Joshua Selman, and has since become a home for thousands seeking intimacy with the Holy Spirit .

A note on arrival: Service officially starts at 5:00 PM and typically runs until 9:00 PM or later. However, if you wish to sit in the main auditorium, it is strongly advisable to arrive much earlier — between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM — to secure a good seat and avoid watching from the large screens outside . The venue fills up quickly.

How to Prepare Your Heart

Instant Healing from Severe Lower Back Pain — Chinonso E. (Toronto, Canada) developed crippling lower back pain that made walking and sitting nearly impossible. 1. Rest Round About in My Examinations

I write to give all the glory to God for what He did for me during my examinations on 19th and 20th October, 2026. Two weeks before my examinations, I started feeling unwell due to severe acid reflux. I took my usual medication, and thankfully, I began to feel better. However, on Friday, 16 October 2026, I became sick again. This time, I had a terrible headache that felt as though my scalp was on fire. My usual medication was no longer helping, so I had to get different medication, but even that did not work. Throughout that weekend, I prayed and listened to Kaestrings and Sumnisola’s “Wonder.” I was trusting God because my examinations were approaching, and I was becoming increasingly worried about my health and my ability to prepare.

By Sunday, 18 October 2026, I could barely eat, let alone read or revise. I was extremely tired and weak. I even missed the beginning of the Koinonia service because of how unwell I was feeling. However, around 10 p.m. (CAT), I felt a strong urge to put on the service. It was not easy because even the light from my phone was worsening my headache, but I knew I needed to listen. The message was titled “Rest Round About (Enforcing Total Victory).” As I listened to Apostle Joshua Selman minister, I began praying along with everything he was saying. I asked God for rest and peace. I poured out my heart to Him, trusting Him to intervene in my situation.

What happened next is something I will never forget. Within minutes after the prayer, my stomach stopped hurting, the burning sensation in my scalp disappeared, and my headache was gone. It was as though I had not been sick at all! The relief I experienced was incredible, and I give God all the glory for what I experienced that night. With the little time I had left, I was able to revise for my examinations.

But what happened when I entered the examination room was even more remarkable to me. As I began answering the questions, I found myself remembering information and writing answers that I had not expected to be able to produce. While I was answering one question, the answers to the next questions would spontaneously come to mind. The amount of information I managed to recall and write in those examinations felt far beyond what I could have accomplished in my own strength, especially considering how sick and exhausted I had been just hours earlier. I knew I could not take the credit for it. I give all the glory to the Holy Spirit for helping me recall what I had studied, giving me understanding, and enabling me to write the answers I needed.

I was amazed by how much I could remember and how perfectly I was able to put my answers together under those circumstances. God gave me peace when I was overwhelmed, strength when I was weak, and the ability to sit for my examinations when I had been struggling even to open my books. The message “Rest Round About” became deeply personal to me. I had asked God for rest, and I experienced a relief and peace that I cannot fully explain in words.

I return all the glory, honour, and praise to God. I am also grateful to Apostle Joshua Selman and the Koinonia ministry for being the vessels through which that life-changing message reached me at such a critical moment. Indeed, God is faithful. To God alone be all the glory!

2. Healed of Breast Pain and Uneasiness During the October 2026 Miracle Service

I want to thank the Almighty God for the healing I received during the October 2026 Miracle Service. During the ministration of our Father in the Lord, Apostle Joshua Selman, we were instructed to lay our hands on any part of our bodies where we needed divine healing. By faith, I laid my hand on my right breast and prayed along. After the prayers, we were encouraged to check ourselves and, for those joining online who had received their healing, to send in their testimonies. By faith, I checked myself and believed that I had received my healing.

However, during the testimony session, an online testimony was read about a woman who had been experiencing recurring lumps in her breast. She had undergone surgery and was also scheduled for another surgery. She testified that, during the prayer, she heard the Holy Spirit tell her to check her breast, and she discovered that she had received her healing. It was as if the Holy Spirit was speaking to me through her testimony.

Immediately, I checked my breast, and to the glory of GOD and to the shame of the devil, the uneasiness and pain were gone! Praise the LORD! HALLELUJAH! Thank You, Jesus! Thank You, Holy Spirit! Thank You, Father! To God alone be all the glory! Hallelujah!

3. A Testimony of God’s Mercy, Divine Intervention and Victory Over Setbacks

My testimony is that of a pioneer whom God has shown mercy. I graduated in 2023. When it was time for clearance, I discovered that my name was missing from my school’s database. Although my lecturers knew me, the school had no official record of me. It took about 11 months to resolve this. When my results were eventually released, my names were all spelt incorrectly, and I had to begin the process all over again.

During this period, I also lost the job that sustained me financially. As someone who caters for himself, it was an incredibly draining season. After months of spending money without making any progress, I realised I needed more than a practical solution. As Apostle Joshua Selman often says, “Principles only work when demons are not involved.” That was when I began listening to Apostle Joshua Selman’s messages more intensely and engaging in serious prayers. I prayed as though my life and victory depended on it, because they really did.

Gradually, things began to turn around. Within a few months, my results were finally released! Fast-forward to today, I returned from the NYSC orientation camp a few days ago.

I am the first graduate and corps member on both my paternal and maternal sides of the family. This may seem ordinary to others, but it is deeply significant to me because I know the battles I faced and the victory God gave me. Today, everyone calls me ‘Corper’, and I am genuinely grateful to God for bringing me this far! It is a new season for me, and I am praying that God will perfect all that He has started in me.

I am also deeply grateful to Apostle Joshua Selman for the high-level spiritual illumination and understanding of how to remain victorious despite setbacks. Sir, may God continue to strengthen you and increase His grace upon your life for our sake. Thank You, Jesus, for showing me mercy!

4. Preserved by God’s Mercy

I write to testify to God’s faithfulness and how He fulfilled a prophetic word over my life. During the May 2026 Miracle Service, Apostle Joshua Selman gave a word of knowledge for someone named Christiana, declaring that God was averting evil, mourning and an obituary from her family. I received the word with faith and shouted a loud “Amen!”

Four months later, I suddenly developed severe abdominal pain. Despite receiving treatment, my condition worsened. I called the Koinonia Prayer Line, where I was prayed for. After further investigations, doctors discovered that I had an intestinal obstruction and recommended emergency surgery. The operation was delayed because my potassium level was low, but on the day of the September Miracle Service, I eventually underwent surgery. During the procedure, the surgeons discovered that my appendix had also ruptured. By God’s mercy, the surgery was successful, and I was discharged three days later.

Shortly afterwards, I developed a high fever, and a scan revealed a large abscess. The doctors recommended a second surgery, describing my situation as critical. I continued praying while my pastors, family and friends stood with me in faith. On the morning I was scheduled for the second operation, I suddenly felt fluid pouring from my surgical wound. The abscess had begun draining on its own. When I sent the pictures and video to my doctor, he confirmed that a second surgery was no longer necessary and advised me to continue taking my medication.

From that day, my fever disappeared, my wound healed completely, my appetite returned, and I recovered fully. God truly fulfilled the prophetic word spoken over my life and averted death. To God alone be all the glory. Thank You, Jesus, and thank you, Apostle Joshua Selman, for yielding to God.

5. Yellowish-Green Discharge Gone Forever!

During the Koinonia Miracle Service, I was trusting God for healing from something I had been struggling with privately for months. I had been experiencing large amounts of yellowish-green discharge with a very unpleasant smell. It was uncomfortable and deeply upsetting, but I felt too embarrassed to speak about it or ask for help. It even affected my relationship with someone I considered a destiny helper, as he eventually left me. I had visited a gynaecologist, but I could not afford the medication, so I went without it. At one point, I also started bleeding alongside the discharge. I had been warned that leaving the condition untreated could affect my ability to have children, and I was afraid.

During the Miracle Service, I knelt down in front of my television. When Apostle Joshua Selman instructed us to place a hand where we needed healing, I touched the television with one hand and placed the other over my private area, trusting God for healing. Then Apostle Joshua Selman mentioned, “UTI is healed, in Jesus’ name,” and I knew I was healed by that word.

Apostle Joshua Selman asked us to check, so I went to the bathroom and noticed that I could no longer smell the unpleasant odour. I thought, “Let me wait until tomorrow morning and see.” The next morning, the discharge I had been experiencing was no longer there. After months of discomfort and worry, I felt such relief. I am sharing what I experienced with a grateful heart. Thank You, Jesus, for hearing my prayers and meeting me in such a private, painful place. All glory belongs to God. Hallelujah!

6. Healed of Severe Back Pain and Restored Mobility After Months of Suffering

I am sharing my healing testimony to the glory of God. I experienced mild pain at the back of my neck in September last year. After visiting my doctor, I was given tablets to take only when the pain became severe. However, I did not take them because the pain was not severe at the time. I travelled home for my wedding in December last year without any pain. I returned to Germany and resumed work on 12th January this year. However, the pain returned two weeks later and had spread to my lower back. I took the last week of January off to attend to it, not knowing that it would be the last time I would be able to work.

After seeing my orthopaedic doctor and undergoing multiple MRI scans, it was discovered that there was a nerve issue affecting my spine. The pain became so severe that I could not sit, stand or lie down for more than five minutes without screaming.

From February, I attended physiotherapy three times a week, but it did not help. My orthopaedic doctor referred me to a neurosurgeon, and I eventually received multiple injections into my spine. The pain eased for a few weeks, but I still could not raise or stretch my left hand above my head, turn the left side of my body towards the right or bend. I felt a heaviness throughout the left side of my body. I have not worked since 30th January. My workplace terminated my contract because of my condition. However, the Labour Office and its health department stood in for me. They even issued me a certificate specifying the type of work and workload I could undertake in any new job, considering my condition.

Last Thursday was my final day of physiotherapy, even though I had not fully recovered. My orthopaedic doctor had prescribed more physiotherapy sessions than the Health Ministry allowed, so I was advised to continue the exercises at home.

During the October 2026 Miracle Service, Apostle Joshua Selman asked us to tell God our reason for coming to the service. I went down on my knees, holding on to Jeremiah 30:17, and prayed in tears. I told God that I was not leaving the service without receiving a touch on my nerves. I cried out for His mercy. Apostle then asked us to place our hands wherever we had pain, and he mentioned back pain. Immediately, I felt something like a knuckle in my left shoulder at the back. I raised my hands high above my head and swung them over and over again! I jumped, turned the left side of my body towards the right and stood until the very last minute of the service without a single pain! I walked normally, stretched and swung my hands, and performed all the movements and acrobatics I had not been able to do since January. I continued doing these things for an hour after the service.

I am healed! No pain and no restrictions to my movements! I thank God for His healing mercies upon my life. Thank you, Apostle, and the entire Koinonia family. I am forever grateful to the Lord. I shout, glory to God for His healing power! I am grateful to be part of the Koinonia family.

7. Smoking Addiction Broken by a Prophetic Word

I write to return all the glory to the great God of this wonderful commission. I want to appreciate my friend, who fully introduced me to Koinonia in 2024 during my internship programme. I also use this opportunity to say, Apostle Joshua Selman, God bless you tremendously for your humility and leadership.

Basically, this testimony is about my boss, who, according to him, has been an addict for a long while. I started working for him on 1st August 2026, and I noticed that he smokes. I wanted to quit immediately, but for some reason, I couldn’t bring myself to do so just yet, so I stayed a little longer. A month into the job, I told God that before I stopped working, I wanted my boss to stop smoking and his deliverance should come.

I prayed about this almost every day. In September or October, he sent me to buy cigarettes for him. With anger I did, and prayed on my way back. He sent me to buy cigarettes for him about three times, but the third time, I told God casually that it should be the last time I would touch this or buy it for him.

Fast-forward to the October 2026 Miracle Service, when Apostle Joshua Selman was ministering deliverance. He mentioned a specific case of someone who had been addicted to smoking, and I screamed out my boss’s name in faith and continued praying throughout the service.

And that was it! I went to work the following day, and my boss told me to discard everything that had to do with cigarettes. I couldn’t believe my ears! I asked him again to be sure, and he repeated the same thing. I rushed to the restroom to dance and sing praises to God Almighty. I observed him throughout the week, and he did not come into contact with cigarettes. It is indeed God’s doing. With my heart filled with joy and gratitude, I have come to return all the glory to God for this great deliverance and miracle. Koinonia is indeed a place where lives are changed. Thank You, Jesus!

8. Monthly Cycle Restored

I write to celebrate God for the miracle I received while watching the October 2026 Miracle Service online. I had not seen my monthly flow for over a month, and as October was coming to an end, I was getting worried. During the Miracle Service, Apostle Joshua Selman instructed us to lay our hands on the parts of our bodies where we were trusting God for healing, so I placed my hand on my abdomen as he prayed.

After the prayers, while people with instant testimonies were sharing their experiences, a lady testified that she only saw her monthly flow once or twice a year and was scheduled for a procedure the next day. She testified that as Apostle Joshua Selman prayed, her period started right there.

As soon as I heard her testimony, I keyed into it by faith and said to myself, “It is not yet time for menopause; I will carry my children.” Shortly after the service, I did some chores and went to take a shower, only to notice that my flow had started! I rejoiced and immediately gave thanks to God. I declare that my healing is permanent and that I will birth my children, in the name of Jesus Christ! Thank You, Jesus Christ, for restoring my cycle, and thank You for giving us Apostle Joshua Selman, a true blessing to our world.

As I gather with Your people — whether onsite in Abuja or online from wherever I am — let me encounter You in a fresh way. Prepare my heart to receive from Your Word. Remove distractions, silence the noise, and draw me into genuine worship. Let this be the Sunday where I find what my heart has been searching for. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
